    Paragon-155-PEE_WinInstallSN_U_10.0.11.12215_000

    PRIOR versions -
    I would have a truecrypt vault (xxx.tc)
I would MOUNT it, and it owuld become drive G: (or whatever)

Paragon HD suite would SEE drive G:, and alow me to create my backup of C:, STORE it in G:

BUT, that is BROKEN in this latest version !!!
    this is a disaster !

I tried it this morning, mounted TWO truecrypt vaults, and Paragon is not seeing ANY of them

PLEase help, as I use thiese truecrypt vaults for security, and I don't want to erase them from the hard drive, just to do backups !!!

    HELPPPPP !!
    thanks
    Nick

Re: TrueCrypt, Paragon, BROKE, ANY FEEDBACK ??

    to all,
any feedback on this, i would like to get this ability restored; paragon indicates that they don't recommend this, but I feel that it is an important adjunct, as more users are both using encrypted partitions, and also encrypting the whole hard drive, etc, and even though Paragon might indicate a caveat that they don't recommend this, I feel that they SHOULD include it as a feature (since it DID work in the most recent prior version)....

anyone else ahve any feedback or experience with this?

    thasnk

As far as I know Paragon programs are not compatible with third-party encrypting SW.

    thanks for reply,.

this is frustrating, because it really DOES work, with the version prior to the latest HD2010 suite release.
It essentially just needs to talk to any drive that MICROSOFT creates, in the "my computer" window.
and the truecrypt drives do show up, once mounted.

AND, Paragon does work from WITHIN an encrypted drive; i have my whole hard drive encrypted with truecrypt and another with SecureDoc, and once the encryption key is entered, and windows starts, Paragon does work within that system.

So, again, replies appreciated, but just to clarify, this is something where I would expect paragon to work within the confines of how Microsoft defiines a drive, in "my computer"; if the drive is defined/shows up there, then it is up to microsoft to handle the "data to drive"; I do understand that some configurations might not work, but in this case, it DID work, and support does not seem to know or care that tne latest version does NOT work with that.

And, with new issues for identity theft, etc, I would think that they would CONSIDER this feature as a BENEFIT, and leave it up to the end user that sometimes this might not be the best configuration; but, as truecrypt drives seem to work fairly well with other applications, I don't understand that this combination (paragon to TrueCrypt mounted drive) would be an issue.

    thanks
    Nick
