Still the same and it proves to be may be the best set-up I've tried so far - no conflicts, very light, bug-free and reliable. But I would like to add something as default-deny HIPS that is compatible or probably a tweak in the system to serve as default-deny. Could you help me with advice or/and helpful links?

I have disabled its automatic startup and will use it during new software installation only, to keep an eye on critical system points changes. It is light weight HIPS, but since version 19 it is causing CPU spikes at random and even after trying lot of fixes, I am unable to get rid of those spikes. BTW, Scotty has never barked for last three weeks.

Success! I found a cure for my parents malware magnet problem: Firefox with added protection from Ghostery and AdBlock Plus.

Isn't it a bit redundant to have Norton DNS? Don't the ratings come from Safe Web? As far as I know, Safe Web blocks access to malicious domains as well. Or, does Norton DNS provide protection based on other ratings as well?
