Win 7 / 20 GB on HDD: Full scan with Panda Cloud Pro: 1.5 hours
Win 7 / 20 GB on HDD: Full scan with AVG: 10 minutes
Win 7 / 20 GB on HDD: Full scan with Avast: 15 minutes

It would be great to turn off archive scanning to make Panda faster :doubt:

We compare them to other AV's on our system :D

NIS 2011 takes around 48 minutes on my bro's laptop. While Panda . . . Well in optimized scan it takes a bit more (Around 1:30), BUT if you do full scan i still haven't finished one  (So it means it takes so long my bro get's bored and stops it because he wants to use the laptop) :D

NOT bashing Panda here, in fact like 80% of my friends Laptops and PC's have PCAV installed by me :D (I fix their PC's all the time o_O :thumbd:)

Right now you can't configure the extensions to be scanned, and by default it scans everything (archives, compressed, etc.). Like LODBROK said, the size of the hard drive has nothing to do. It's more about the type of files, compression, heuristics emulation levels, etc.

We are going to be working on a version in the short term (next 3-6 months) which will have a lot more configuration options and performance optimizations, so look out for that to improve your on-demand and on-access scan times (probably named v1.5).

Regarding password-protected settings, its in the queue but not as priority right now.

I think the lifetime licence has died? :doubt:

€ 65.99 for 3 years is too expensive, it should be for a lifetime ...

Weird, works for me. But it seems the link I posted is a redirect from the original, I have changed it to the original now.

"Instant notifications of virus detections. Previously if Panda Cloud Antivirus encountered multiple viruses, it would delay its traybar notification and show them grouped. This behaviour has been changed so that the notifications are shown immediately."

I would have thought that showing multiple viruses grouped would be preferable unless I'm not understanding something here.:doubt:

For the FP question its a rare occurrence on most machines. I have installed Panda Cloud on 4+ machines and I experienced one FP on SmithFraudFix setup (Malware removal tool) and the tool is not being used any more. FP's all depend on your system, the more common the tools you have on your machine the less likely an FP will happen.

I have seen a few reports from people that had a common app with an FP. However the classification system fix had it removed in about an hour and all the clients automatically had the app removed from the recycle bin in about 3-4 hours.

So if you are worried about FP's just try it and if you have any FP's you can remove them from the recycle bin and submit them to Panda to be fixed.

Hahaha, IMO i don't know why everyone get so paranoid about FP's . . . well at last in my experience, i've only found like 2 - 3 FP's in all these years.

And the ones with good support were fixed within 24 hours (EAM) :D

Hahaha, Because a FP can be just as deadly, if not more so as a real infection, if one trusts the software that made the detection. And 24 hours is too much time.

    Oh well that's true actually.
I just think that for people that are a little more teach savy (Me . . . Wilders?) we always have a final judgement and we don't believe 100% in the results :D

Well, if a non critical component is removed, no biggie. You can simply restore it from quarantine. But if antivirus by mistake removes winlogon.exe, you're screwed as the system will refuse to even boot.

I presume you mean the mail scanning, is it being scanned by Panda cloud?
