    1. Key/license is already activated and expires on same data and month in 2011.

    2. No. Key/license is for avast! Internet Security only. You can custom install avast! Internet Security and deselect unwanted components, e.g., firewall, mail scanner, etc.

Has my post been misread? It suggests that, at the time of posting it, Melissa was up for about 28 hours.

    Still Melissa.

I just got confirmation that I won from a previous question. Which is funny because I didnt enter the Melissa question until about 3 hours after it was posted and answered it again yesterday around 3AM in the morning. Surely enough time for more than 100 answers to be submitted.

Well, it's now 3:11 PM and still Melissa! o_O

This means that, once again, for the second day, I had to be amongst the first people answering to the question when it first came out. Still, nothing, not even in the the spam. And, I tried with two different Internet connections at the same time, with two different e-mails, just to see what would come out of it. Nothing!

I see people reporting they answer it like 3 hours after, like whitedragon551 mentions, and they get a damn key. (I got nothing against these people; they play their luck. But, how is AVAST selecting the participants? It beats me...)

I'm trying to get one for a relative, who is unhappy with AVG, due to latest events, but I don't see it happening. The most concerning thing is I'm always amongst the first people answering. I have to be, considering the period of time the question lasts.

    What the heck?

I agree. There is no possible way Avast is following the rules they set forth. Either that or they arent disclosing all of the criteria.

Since I already have my license. Ill keep playing to help those that still want one.

Just answered Melissa for the 2nd time, but after submitting my answer, the window refreshed and said "thank you for taking our survey" with another send button. Previously there was no second submit window...Am I alone, or did anyone else notice this?

Just answered it, normally I got an ad like screen about surveys(partially cut off) after submitting, but now I got the send button like Cimmerian, after I pressed it the little window inside the snow crystals frame is blank instead of the ad-like screen.

Gee... I answered Melissa's qustion like 4 times already. no luck. then last nite i checked @ 1:00am CST and Melissa was still smiling at me. o_O
I just went to bed. Today I went on to the survey's page around 10:00am CST and answered the love bug question... maybe i'm late again... but at this point... anything can happen.
BTW, im also receiving the blank page after submitting my answer.
Congrats again to all the winners! :D you lucky fellas!

You don't need to answer 4 times. They will only choose the first 100 who answered correctly. You only need to answer one time if you fall within the first 100 lucky ones. If you are the 200th participant, you will get nothing even you answer 10 times.

Except.... it is impossible to actually know when the first 100 lucky winners have been chosen. We all tend to believe that it happens very quickly, within mere moments or minutes of the quiz change, but what if avast is disqualifying some submissions for whatever reason, and maybe it is taking 125 entries or more to achieve the 100 winner count.

[2¢] Plus, the number of winners here on this thread alone strikes me as, if nothing else, quite disportionate to the entire online world, which is actually the field of potential participants. This disportionate number of winners from Wilders tells me that avast is giving away more than the rules state. My personal opinion (which I can't substantiate but only guess at) is that the 100 winners per day rule is there as a minimum that avast must meet in order to make it all official. But if they want to give away more free licenses, it's certainly their right to do so, and I am convinced that this is exactly what is happening. [/2¢]
