I haven't had this specific error myself but in general its a good idea to empty the updfiles folder (and mirror folder) and start a new update from scratch.

You can find the updfiles folder in C:\ProgramData\ESET\ESET Remote Administrator\Server\updfiles (default location W2K8 ). You might need to stop the ERA service before removing those files since some of them might be locked.

    /Edit:

Also found a KB article on this: "Why is ESET Remote Administrator Server not updating to the most recent virus signature database?"

Thanks for your reply. I have found the solution, but it looks like workaround rather than fix.

    1. I have unchecked "Create update mirror" checkbox
    2. Deleted folders "mirror" and "updfiles"
    3. Updated - it works fine now
    4. Re-enabled "Create update mirror" checkbox
    5. Updated to recreate mirror
    6. It works fine now
