Good choice IMO. Privatefirewall is pretty good.

Well actually I'm back to square 1. Private firewall had toooo high I/O activity (see my post in the Private firewall thread). It was good and relatively light but I uninstalled it. So I'll be searching for another one. For now I'm with the built-in one.

Ok its always your choice. Although IMO 2-3 firewall apps I have tried had high I/O activity (doesn't bother me) except Windows Firewall, which I don't what to be bothered in configuring. Good luck in finding a firewall you like.

Back to my long time and favorite setup, Online Armor Premium and Prevx 3. I am feeling much better based on recent posts in the Prevx Forum here. Its future and ongoing development look safe and secure.

After the recommendations, i uninstalled OA and gave Comodo CIS a try :thumb:

So after looking a bit more into it, i've learned how to check the rules etc. :D

Ram usage is around 13-14MB on my PC (Which is as good as NIS usage).

    Loving CIS!! :thumb: :thumb:

Added Malware Defender 2.6 to the mix for now. Very stable, extremely light - almost no CPU time and very low I/O activity. The only shortcoming is Network protection somewhat slows internet and definitely slows file download, so I switched it off. Getting used to being only with the built-in firewall.

Using Kaspersky PURE now for a week or so (instead of NOD32 & Comodo FW) and very, very pleased with it! :D

    Runs smooth and light.

Have norton 360 ver 4 on wifes laptop and kids desktop. 16.99 1 user/3 PC on amazon for the download version. It's $28 for NIS 2011. Its kind of a no brainer. Working well so far.
