Most people posting on this thread like changing applications as a hobby (this is my take, anyway), rest assured that Sandboxie has a well deserved cult status here at Wilders. I do run Sandboxie in all my computers, and I consider it quite unique in the range of configuration possibilities available to the user.
My main machine runs on Vista 64 bit, and even though Sandboxie's creator mentioned that the 32 bit OSs are safer, I agree with justenough, 64 bit systems are by design more secure. Sandboxie on 64 bit systems installs by default with "Drop rights from Administrators and Power Users groups" which means that the sandbox contents run in a standard account environment when Sandboxie is activated.

My defense setup: Look'n'Stop + Avira10 + Sandboxie (90% of the time). Sometimes when things might get really ugly I also use Shadow Defender.

I agree with you as far as computers which have a minimum defense (AV + something else) can remain clean for years on end. The bad news is that most users don't give a damn about even minimal security, therefore malware writers will always have a huge profitable market of security ignorant users to fall back on.

For those of you who use FF and Adblock+, I am curious of what filter subscriptions you use.

Cool thanks! I am trimming down my Firefox setup. Stopped using a Hosts File a while back, but I do use MBAM's Website Blocking and browsers run inside SBIE. FF is set to not remember history. Started eliminating some FF stuff as you can see below.

    OPERATION TRIM DOWN FF :p

    Current plugins:
    Adblock+
    WOT
    Ghostery
    Better Privacy
    Beef Taco

    Current Adblock+ Subscriptions:
    EasyPrivacy+EasyList
    Fanboy's List
    Fanboy's Tracking\Stats Blocking
    Fanboy's Annoyances
    Adblockrules.org

Same setup which is in my sig. Will stay like that for a while. Although I'm probably going to change my backup program as windows backup is slow in restoring an hard disk image.
