Those are behavior blocking rules designed to stop office exploits. What were you doing when they appeared? If they keep appearing I can see if I can find out the logs they need to have it fixed if it is a FP.

Ok so it either may be an exploit on some machine of the school thats passing it on, or it was an FP. If it ever happens again I will look up the instructions to gather some logs.

Let's monitor the situation to be sure it's not an over sensitive blocking rule.

Yes please keep an eye on that. As Ibrad said, that's the blocking rule that comes up when an XLS/PPT/DOC/WMV/etc exploit is trying to run.

If you see it again, please send me the file in question.

Good Evening ! Pbust just installed Panda Cloud Antivirus 1.3. I'm wondering about two issues...firstly when I installed the Toolbar Prevx 3.0 states it's low grade malware...this has to be a false positive...and secondly how does the Active Scan...on the browser toolbar and Optimized Scan on the Cloud GUI...differ...if I run one do I need the other? Hopefully this isn't as naive as it sounds. Sincerely...Securon

Yes we saw that. It's reported as goodware but they continue to detect it. If someone has contacts with them could you please let them know as well?
ActiveScan, being an on-demand scan via ActiveX, has different set of heuristic settings than the installed PCAV. So it might detect other stuff heuristically that PCAV might not. On signatures they are pretty much the same.

Have you been able to reproduce the FP with Powerpoint and Excel? :doubt: Are the FP caused by behaviour blocking or behaviour analysis? :doubt:

Yes we found the problem in the behaviour blocker engine and thanks to whitedragon have been able to see the problem and create a solution.

If anybody else is having the same problem please PM me and I will send you instructions of the manual fix to verify it if works correctly before pushing it out to all PCAV users.

Got a small problem here. I excluded a detection from the recycle bin, removed the file from my computer and tried to get rid of the exclusion.
    1) When I press 'Clear' the exclusion disappears for a brief moment and then returns.
    2) When I try to remove the exclusion by pressing the green arrow I get error code 11.

Already reported. I also ran into the issue. What I gathered is that it happens when a temp file is quarantined and you clear the %temp% directory. And then Panda runs into a permissions issue trying to restore it.

Correct, it ocurrs when the file is no longer there. Should be fixed in two versions from now.

I tried replacing the file causing the error and it still throws the error code. Does an uninstall fix the issue?

EDIT- An uninstall does fix the issue.

Thanks for your confirmation. Will it be in the second 'roll up' version for 1.3 or second minor/major version like 1.5?

We got a couple of minor versions coming up which are basically fixes and optimizations (1.4 and 1.5). Version 1.4 is probably before end of year and 1.5 will probably be Jan or Feb. Don't know yet exactly which will include this specific fix.
