"If people are happy to have their IP & pages viewed etc etc to be logged and transferred onto the Big mutha/brother database, then fine. I prefer not to thanks Why make it easy for them, when you don't need to !"

"A comment from a post" ~~~ Uh?? and what is there to stop them?

well Reading a lot to catch up ,I sometimes wonder with this sort of statement. posted (and i have been guilty as well!)

yes one time i felt the same.Keep them away from little old me!

... is fooling one self not now perhaps 50 years ago yes one could. hide.
    or be anonymous.

the fact is this. you live and I live on this planet, and no where to hide.if you are wanted," thy" (whoever) will 99.99% of the time.find you.

now as for all this privacy talk ,Some posts . are very good advice given.
you and i read up on.
don't get this wrong but this is sometimes over cooked.and silly.I wonder what "Thy" would want from .US you and I.
The daily normal surfer,MS windows XP our win7 perhaps?.

Reading about storage on hard drives, or seeing one loading to one,(files)
REALLY? or storing all you and the surfer May do? think Thy give a Dam

THEN read "thy" are not getting any thing from ME syndrome.or "thy" are not getting my IP (lodged) and I begin. to have visions of the government or some hacker, wanting your our my ,.OS from every ones system,
data bases full of IP's ,with there OS .hard drive numbers, and pages of browser shots, and photos of the owners.DNA information.
so "thy" now keep a eye on you.and where you surf.and what you or i download.

i don't think So ,the cost of this would far outreach having To scan every hard drive out there. and think of the man power to attempt this.never mind the Big mutha/brother, data base that would be 5 blocks long and 4 deep.x 20 story's .high to hold all this.

no offense here to the poster but think hard,i just found this silly."Thy" already know you, and have all "THY' need on you.ip your provider, and account , where you live how old you are.gender, where you work ,and so on..

Dude, you're not ee cummings! Please use basic punctuation, at least. Reading your posts is painful.

Anyway, you're attacking a straw man. Perfect privacy and anonymity are, of course, impossible. And most of us, of course, aren't worth individual attention. However, there's a vast middle ground, where available privacy and anonymity methods are sufficient, and indeed, may help avoid individual attention.

thanks for the response, you mean Bart. Cummings? .

and your statement is right ,attacking sorry if this comes across as so
that was not my intention.just a opinion,as i read the posts on this.sort of idea.
using any type of proxy, program, what ever, someone has the info.to find you or I if there is a case.
(if there is no reason to who the heck cares.)

if someone really want someone there is no way to av-ode this.not with the tectonically that's is used, finding ips and addresses no mater what one uses.to try and hide,or be so called anonamys. there is no sutch thing on the net full stop. that a fallacy.
total anonymity yes one can achieve it.dump the modem in a rubbish bin
    now you have total anonymity.
