To the point of being boring. In security I guess boring is a good thing.Anyway I don't see any reason to change anything for a long time. Thanks, Rocky

So much for going AV-free. NOD32 and WinPatrol Plus are back on.

An odd side-note: ClearCloud DNS started blocking Wilders on my computer a couple of hours ago.

I experienced the same thing, wasn't able to access Wilders for some minutes. However, I never got the CC's blocking page... the address was just not getting resolved... so I'm doubtful as to wether CC was the cause... o_O

When I took off CC, I could get into Wilders. When I put it back on, couldn't get in. I guess it could be coincidence.

That is very strange. Why would both OpenDNS and ClearCloudDNS see Wilders as a site to filter? I guess it will be remedied pretty fast.

I am using KIS firewall. DefenseWall firewall is very simple (allow/deny only), while KIS firewall has much more option (port stealth, better rules management, NIP, etc.). Luckily, both do not conflict with each other. I do use KIS firewall preferably. DefenseWall firewall is to control untrusted processes communication.

Custom installation might return in 2012 version. Currently, there is unofficial command line to install only required components without any error. I have installed only required components of CF2 (no Anti-Spam/Mail-AV/Parental Controls).

DefenseWall do not have capability to filter contents/internet traffic. It does not have network intrusion prevention. It does not have policy based rules/port management. It is simply Allow/Block. It works without any problem in conjunction with KIS 2011 CF 1/CF 2.

    On windows 7 (x64):

Avast free, password protected and set to do daily quick scans and weekly full scans.

Once every month (or something like that), i use Ccleaner to:
    - Check startup entries
    - Check installed programs
    - Erase restore points
    - Clean unnecessary files
    - Clean the registry

Then i run a full scan with MBAM free, SAS free and Hitman Pro.
Run Ccleaner again to erase files and registry entrys, and use Auslogics Disk Defrag to defrag and optimize system.
Finally, i create a system backup image using windows 7 restore and backup center
