Time to move on.

I'm done with looking at the anitvirus comparisons and finding that my security program has gone further down the list year after year. This is it. Obviously Eset is content to rest on their laurels and let the other guys do a better job of protecting their clients. This is totally unacceptable. Goodby Eset.

It always your personal choice to choose that type of protection/Av-solution that you think protect your digital world best. As far as I can see Eset has been very stable product still with a detection rate far above average.

Ok, maybe I went off before I really looked into the situation. It looks like some others catch malware a little better but they tend to slow down your system. I guess I'm not ready to change but Eset really needs to start faring better on these tests. A person can't help but doubt. An average user has no way of knowing except to listen to what the experts say.

I have to say I haven't caught a virus since I started using Eset products. I guess that says something.

I'd strongly recommend making conclusions based on real experience of other users and not to pay much attention to tests. They can only tell a partial truth about products but what matters is how security programs perform and protect you in real life.

We're not going to discuss here how easily tests can be flawed; there was a very interesting presentation conducted by an ESET programmer dealing with stuff related to malware detection who demonstrated the pitfalls of tests and showed how easily it is to skew the results.

 

"The Comparisons" are always about money.
Real experience is the key.

Using EC 1.5 years and everything is fine, no problems with viruses, the system is clean ...

By the way, I tried many antiviruses and each has its "+" and "-".

So my choice is obvious - it's antivirus ESET!

Waiting for the fifth version!

 

Sorry yall. I've decided I need to stay away from those a/v test sites. They just confuse the issue. ESET has been awesome for 4 or 5 years now. I'm sticking with it.

I have been testing lots of AV products and have to say ESET is the best at detecting virus and spyware much faster than other AV products... I am gonna be using ESET for many years longer.
