I thought safe return was more like a snapshot software (the name says so LOL)
But it was just a cloud scanner xD

    Removed:
    Geswall

    Re-installed:
    Keyscrambler Free

i want to see how much "fat" i can remove and still be secure.
so i'm only left with Shadow Defenser as defense.
that's about as "naked" as one can get! ;)

Is shadow defender really practical for every day use? :S

    quote from shadow defender;
" If you experience malicious activity and/or unwanted changes, perform a reboot to restore your system back to its original state, as if nothing happened."
how will YOU know if your system is infected so that you know to restore to a clean image:?

    Yup.

You can run in shadow mode as long as you wish. Back when I was using it,the only time I came out of shadowmode was to update windows, then back into shadowmode I went.

You could use on demand scans with Malwarebytes,Hitmanpro. Or you could use a hips or antivirus. No need to pile on a bunch of real-time security software with SD though IMO.

i scan once a week or so with MBAM,hitman pro and Dr Web CureIt.
    they never find anything. ;)
i also of course scan any download from any unfamiliar sources.
i also check with Process Hacker to see if there is any hidden object.

my only concern is online banking so that is why i reboot out of Shadow Defender to make sure any potential malware is gone before doing any online banking or transaction.
i also use Keyscrambler in IE just for online banking and checking my Hotmail acount.

i will add ClearCloud DNS today for a little added security.
i think i should be fine with that setup

I see, You did not mention in your post that you do on demand scans with multiple scanners :D Your setup makes more sense now.

Btw - Is the disk space bug fixed? When I used it while ago it reported to use an incredible amount of disk space regardless of usage.

Gave AVG pro a spin,as i have a license from the last giveaway, along with CIS.So far i like it,and the full scan is clearly improved. It scanned C drive 120GB in 20 minutes, scan optimization included. It feels light and no slow downs 'till now of any kind.
