I am running ESET Smart Security 4. Yesterday, it indicated that my license is going to expire in 14 days. So, I went to the ESET site and successfully renewed my license for a year.

My question is, will Smart Security automatically "know" that I have renewed the license? So far, it still thinks the license is going to expire.

    Thanks for the help,
    Rick

    Hello,

This article explains the delay in showing the new date.

If you renew a couple of days before the license expiry, you shouldn't normally get a new username and password and your current license will be prolonged, starting from the date of expiry. That means you won't lose a single day from your current license and you won't need to care about entering a new username and password. However, when your current license is prolonged, it make take up to 24 hours for the license details to propagate to all servers.
