Does anyone know if ESET is working on an updated virus definition release to combat the Zeus Trojan? Basically This threat, a data stealing Trojan called Zeus, is being spread through emails that are falsely sent from LinkedIn. These emails look like legitimate LinkedIn Invites with a web link for confirming contact. However the link takes users to a webpage displaying the message, 'Please waiting....4 seconds', then redirects to Google. It's possible you may not notice any changes initially, but behind the scenes damage may be done. This virus is known for capturing data, such as passwords, and other sensitive data. Thank you, Skassam
ESET are aware of the Zeus botnet and have blogged it. You could always comment directly to one of the ESET Bloggers, all comments are read.
I've received several of these emails with links to different websites. They look convincing enough to lure an unsuspecting person to click the link. I've forwarded the emails I've received to ESET.
Cheers, rothko, the more ESET knows how this infector arrives, the better they will be able to offer protection. Thanks for your comments.
