I liked it enough that I grabbed a 2yr for the price of 1yr license back in early 2009. It sits there and quietly does its job without a whimper and does it extremely well. For me even the webguard is barely noticeable...

Installed SAS PRO, its so hard to believe its only using 512k of ram. How can they provide real time protection but only use that much ram o_O

Test the real time protection of SAS Pro against some malware if you get a chance. I've not seen any test results showing the real time protection provides much security at all. It would be interesting to see if that's changed much.

Yeah I wondered the same thing but I am not really good at testing malware because I do not have the setup to. However I did notice on some youtube videos that it detected more on-demand then on-execution so I submitted a support ticket asking why and if they have improved the real time.

It's been a day with this current set-up and no crashes. And in spite of the number of programs listed in my sig it is very speedy.

After reading a few recent comments on Wilders about Avira, I have to give it a try.

Removed ESET NOD32 and installed Avira. So far no conflicts or speed bumps.

This video is a few months old -
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_O5qrDybcJk

the tester, in regard to the SAS real time protection, states "it's remarkably not doing anything."

the SAS real time protection seems as "real" as their $9.99 one day only ad

Added back Windows Defender, since SAS is only using 512k it can't hurt.

I must ask, why sandbox Google Chrome? It's sandboxed out of the box and sandboxing it with a 3rd party program might cause conflicts, meaning you won't have the same protection.

because chrome ISNT sandboxed... they call it a sandbox and u could say it is in a way, but its not a sandbox in the way avast's is, or sandboxie, its quite different.

That's an impressively light combination. Wish Defensewall could work on 64bit.

I wonder if Opera is as secure as Chrome or Iron or even IE8? And maybe it would be worth it to compare ClearCloudDNS to OpenDNS. I found a video test with 12 malware samples where ClearCloud did really well, but haven't seen a professional, published test.
