HP Scanjet Scanner

    I have this scanner and I recently purchased a computer with a 64 bit windows 7 home premium operating system. I cannot get the scanner to work. I think it is because I need a 64 bit driver. I have not been able to find one. Is there one that supports this system?

    I didn't mention it is a 3970 scanner

    what happens when you connect the scanner? Any error or other messages?

    HP Photo & Imaging Gallery has stopped working

    A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you is a solution is available.
