Using Windows 7 with ESET AV #4 2010-2011 license.

Can I assume it scans 'as you download' and 'as you execute software' and 'as you unrar/un-7zip"o_O

If so, how the devil can I force this to STOP scanning files AS THEY DOWNLOAD?

It's adding up to 3 minutes toward the end of a download , 99%....waiting.....foreverero_Oo_O o_O

Please tell me how to STOP the "scanning as I download?""

since I'm obviously covered with other safety o_O

p.s. I do not have 'scan after download' enabled in Firefox.

    Hello Axelrose,

You might wish to take a look at this thread. The issue that you mentioned is unlikely to be resolved soon as I have had such issues ever since I installed ESET NOD32 v4. The effects can be lessened by following some of the suggestions in that thread.

Btw, are you still using NOD32 v2, since you posted in this forum? From what the other posters have suggested, v2 doesn't seem to produce such effects, even though I haven't tried it for myself.

When I used Firefox 3.0 and EAV 4.0.474 didnt have that problem.
But then I migrated to Firefox 3.x and EAV v4.2.xx.xx, and the scan always stayed at 99% for 10 seconds in 1MB-5MB RAR archives

I'm using Google Chrome, and the scan time appears to have decreased

Is more likely to be due to the Web Access Protection "module" of 4.2 versions
