I added a bunch of files manually as safe to Comodo and it seems to be running better now. I have Linksys router and added the Linksys software to the safe programs and it seemed to help the most I think. Also, the Avast as you suggested.

Hmm definitely not a solution i like to be honest, after having tried it. Having a scan 6 times a day, which takes around 10 to 15 minutes is not something i want. If one could choose only one file to scan for a scheduled scan then i would...but not like this.

So i switch to the old update frequency of every 30 minutes.

The combo of CIS5 with the Prevx facebook version is my preferred one on my main pc;supplemented with Norton dns and EMET 2.0 it's all got a light yet powerful feel to it.:D

Comodo seems to have trouble remembering what I wanted not ran in the sandbox. Also, it looks like only .exe files can run in the sandbox and if I change the .exe extension to some other (example, change to .flv) then the option to run in the sandbox from the context menu is not available.

How is th Comodo sandbox compared to Online Armor's run safer?

Why would you run a video file in the sandbox?
If you want to open a video in the sandbox make right click in your video player and then click on "run in COMODO sandbox" and then open the video file using the sandboxed video player.

A .flv is just a container like a .zip it can't 'run' by itself. As guest says you can run VLCPlayer (or whichever) in the sandbox to play your .flv
You can run all the common executable file formats in the sandbox,I've not tried any obscure ones as yet.

Anyone experiencing considerable CPU usage while scanning? I don't have cloud scanning enabled for manual scans.

Don't know about you guys, but this is the fastest scan that I've ever seen. I have a ton of files and it finishes in less than 30min (with or without cloud scan) instead of multi-hours like others.

Hi, I understand that Comodo 5 will send an unknown file to CIMA on line scan to check for malicious behaviour and then will report back in around 15 mins.

Where does the report back come to? Is it emailed or do I need to check in the Comodo interface somwhere?

    Cheers

The report (not a complete report) of the CIMA scan results will be seen in the D+ logs (see pic).

There were one or 2 issues with CPU usage during the Beta phase, although they seem to have been largely addressed with the final release. It was related to scanning archived files and unchecking the option to scan those cured the problem previously,so I'm guessing this is your issue now.You should file a bug report on this.

I tried that but the only way I can get Comodo to run my video player in the sandbox is to go to program files and open the media player folder then find the .exe and right click that. A shortcut to my desktop of the same .exe file will not show up the run in sandbox when I right click. Any settings to change this so I can right click a shortcut on the desktop?

I dont know how this can help you with your security.

I dont know how you can do that, the problem is that the trusted files (files in the Comodo Whitelist) can not be added to the unrecognized files list so you can run then automatically in the sandbox.
You can make a shorcut to the folder in the desktop :(

Or try to ask in Comodo Forums, or write in the whitelist if they can add the button "run inside the sandbox" also for the shortcuts.

A few people have asked for this functionality so hopefully it'll be added soon. The best thing is to get some support going in the wishlist.
