    2 things:

one - when I deselect WebShield the tray icon remains cool calm and collected but

on deselcting AV the icon changes - a red cross appears or sth - can we control it?

two -> WebShield slows down browsing in my Opera 9.61, anyone else suffering from this ailment?

Peerblock works beautifully on Win 7, 64bit included. Be aware that, depending on who made the list, it can be overzealous or miss a lot.

I didn't suffer from slowdown, but the web shield for sure blocked too much.

Well yes, I'm running it right now on win7 64 bit as I post this reply for you.

There are "standard" lists from the vendor (free).

Then you can block as you want to and over time build up your own permanent block list and as well when you allow a site you build a permanent white list for yourself.

I suspect you will like it.

I get a lot of OA popups when installing new software. Today there were about 15 popups just doing one software update, even when clicking on the OA software update box every time there was a popup. What is the best way to deal with this?

Here you have, it is just a matter of taking a look at the On line HELP file.

I had already read Online Armor's help pages. Sorry, I wasn't precise in saying "even when clicking on the OA software update box". I meant what you pointed out, the "install mode" box. Even when clicking "install mode" at each popup, along with the two boxes above it, I had about 15 popups just installing one program. I finally had to disable Online Armor to install the program.
edit: Nevermind, it seems to have been just one program that was giving OA a problem, other installs have gone ok.

Been looking forward for the x64 version for years, and here it is :thumb:

Im testing the free version together with Nortons brilliant Antivirus 2011. So far this combination is running wonderfull :) For the first time in a many years, I actually consider replacing the well working Windows Firewall :)

I already have a lifetime license with Outpost Pro Firewall, which I like much too, but over the last versions the popups have become to complicated to answer correctly for the mainstream user.

Does anyone know if any major publications (Pc World, Mag, Authority) will end up reviewing Online Armor ++ eventually? :) I usually just see some reviews for the firewall software and nothing else...

You are correct, the firewall applet shows the firewall as off when OA is on, and on when OA is off :)

As long as it's not Neil Rubenking doing the review, I'd be fine. ;) He seems to have some issues with Emsisoft.

However, there were some nice German reviews and tests during the past year. "Com!" magazine awarded it with the best note "very good".

The problem that Online Armor has when Acronis True Image is being installed was confirmed by another user of the two programs, who had to temporarily disable OA. Other than that little glitch, OA is running fine on my computer.

The included antivirus is not good.. i use Emsisoft Anti-Malware on an archive of 6.000 viruses and it founds all except 86. But i try OA++ and it found only 300 virsues on the same archive.. that is strange cause i thought that the included antivirus should be the same as Emsisoft Anti-Malware but i was wrong. The included antivirus is scanning little slower then EAM.

Yes, indeed that is very strange. To my knowledge they both use the same 2 engines. Ikarus AV, and Emsisoft AM engine. Can anyone tell me i'm wrong?

After installation of OA++ you need to update the signatures. There are just a few signatures in the setup file.

You are right. OA++ uses EAM+Ikarus.
Regarding the detection results, kindly post it at OA support forum. This sure looks strange.

I tried to register on their forum but the image verification is broken so i can't finish registration. Anyway i had updated the signatures. When i installed the trial without updating it found 0 viruses in that archive, and after i updated signatures it found 300, and then i uninstalled it and installed EAM and it found around 5836 of the virueses in the archive. So now i will be using EAM + separate firewall, maybe OA without antivirus part.

With OA firewall, the run safer option, if I right click on a program - say the shortcut on the desktop, will it apply the run safer option? For instance, if I have a media player that has a shortcut on the desktop- if I right click that and find "run safer" in the context menu. Or does the run safer have restrictions on what programs can run with that option?
