Even though it's night, I am going to look into this. In the meantime, I will revert everything to the previous build.

Thank you Mark, but everyone's got to rest regardless, and nothing or nobody is perfect and flawless.

Build 114 crashes on my Vista 64 bit system as well. Right after the update, it shuts down. A re-install doesn't help. Frustrating...

People have to learn not to be so ungrateful. Program didn't reformat your hard drive or cause you to lose all your important data, it's just a bug that will be worked out.

Don't let security programs rule/ruin your life. You scanned a day ago, and the next day you read the news, went to youtube, came to wilders, rest easy, nothing busted through. If you're scanning every few hours, then you're no different to the person who is washing their hands 100 times a day instead of actually doing something productive. :p

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

As some of you have noticed, the servers are now pushing build 115 which solves the build 114 Vista problems.

We have tested build 114 extensively on XP and Windows 7 (both 32-bit and 64-bit). But we have excluded Vista from the test since Windows 7 is just Vista on steroids. But that turned out to be a bad choice  . Our apologies.

I would thank you all who were so kind reporting the problem with build 114 so quickly.

Again, if you are having problems with this new build 115, please report them. Thank you all for your patience.

    Changelog
    Build 115 (2010-09-11)
    • Contains complete removal of 'Here You Have' worm.
    • Added process hardening to Hitman Pro's malware removal service (Crusader).
    • Improved detection and removal of malware related registry keys.
    • Improved detection and removal of malware starting through Autorun.inf.
    • Improved cloud communication so that it reverts to fixed IPs when DNS queries are compromised by malware.
    • Fixed a problem resetting the ACL on malware files.
    • Fixed 'Scan at startup' setting so that 'Scan method' is now remembered.
    • Added /lic=PRODUCTKEY command line switch which is useful in corporate environments.
    • Several minor improvements.
    • Fixed a Windows Vista related problem (build 114).

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

I am trying HMP build 115 on W7 with no problems. It always finds tracking cookies which are not a problem.

When the scan is finished there is also a window regarding a scan with RB. I hesitate to use something that does anything to the registry.o_O

    Anyone used RB? Thanks.

    Regards,
    Jerry

He's referring to the advert for Uniblue Registry Booster in HMP.

    @Jerry

You're wise to hesitate before using any registry cleaner/booster,most have more potential for harm than any benefit.

Re: Anyone tried out Hitman Pro?

Thanks. That is what I am afraid of. I would have no clue as to how to repair any damage, and do not even know how to reformat. I'll pass on the RB.

Probably not and if they did I would not use it! :gack: As RB has nothing to do with cleaning malware! Also they probably get money for the advertising and that's better than adding any type of unwanted addons such as Toolbars or other programs! ;)
