One big change, I added Avira Premium. I had 13 months left on my extended license and decided to put it to work. Running very smooth and minus the webguard... :D

    Windows 7 Professional (x86/32-bit) - Standard User (SU/LUA)
Network Address Translation (NAT) via Router 'without' Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI)
Software Restrion Policy (SRP) and Group Policies (GPO) via GPEDIT
User Account Control (UAC) set to Max.

SRware Iron browser with built-in adblock and sandbox.
Returnil System Safe Free 2011 (Virtual Mode: ON / Trust System Services from real disk only / Virus Guard: OFF)

removed execution rights from 'downloads' folder and is located at another partition to reduce overhead from Returnil.
removed user rights on the root of non-system drives.

    Windows Backup and Restore.

I install Prevx SafeOnline on top of Returnil whenever I need to bank.

Looking forward for MAMUTU Giveaway so I can have a light behavioral hips to block nasties during installation. I guess Returnil for now.

Reinstalled Online Armor Premium trial. Unlike the Windows 7 firewall, it lets you know it's there with all the pop-ups, so I go back and forth about Online Armor. Along with everything else it does, it has a key logger defense, so I'm leaning towards keeping it on.

OA has to be one of my favorite firewalls. I can't believe that a year ago I had never heard of it. Its light (for me) and has alot of features.

I am still content with my basic security setup and even gone as far as ommitting any AV's once again since the HIPS employed continues to work to perfection as i've yet to detect any serious intrusions beyond my front line defense shields!! (A True Bonus)!

However i am experimenting with the latest anti-spyware releases, only the reputable ones of course, and so long as SandboxIE and Returnil RVS play nice together, my background support defense perimeter is as solid as it's ever been.

But in case there just happens to be any better designed rootkits, i have that covered too with the newest tools that's been released for detecting those invisible entry agents that often can slip thru normal or basic system security holes.

So far i found none so my siggy contains a super array of variable prohibitors that are serving very well as we close in on shutting out 2010 this season.

    Live Well! Protect Strong!

    Ditched defensewall and avast.
    CIS 5 beta
    Safe online
    SuRun
I'm loving SuRun. easy to use. asks me to run everything elevated. Almost like a mini deny default. The little green smiley face in the taskbar is cool too. :)
