    Hi,

You may try putting them into active mode and revert to normal/passive mode if you encounter problems.
I myself wouldn't put Opera in active mode, because it caused incorrect loading of images (images in the wrong place, etc.) in versions 3.0 and 4.0 of ESS, so I didn't try anymore with this version. Firefox and IE were fine on my machine.

Be aware that active mode load the whole files into memory at once through ESS first before sending it to the browser, so the loading may look slower on progressive JPEGS, Flash movies, etc. because they won't be progressively downloaded by the browser anymore but by ESS (at least that's how I understand it).
The active filtering had a maximum size in old versions of Nod32, I don't know about ESS, but I suppose it still does because a large download doesn't show such a behavior.

    Hope this helps,
