    hey wilders,

i play games somewhat and ive been playing arma 2 lately and i found this website called -www.armaholic.com- which has tons of mods. i downloaded the ACE 2 mod and scanned all the folders with hitman pro and nothing came up.

is there anyway to test if this website is safe to download from?

wutsup, both Google and Norton detail the site as safe, however, always scan any downloads as a precaution.

If it comes up clean there,it's as close to certain that it's safe as you'll get.

ok thx guys for replying, i scanned the files with hitman pro and avira and nothing came up. they are not exe files, they are .PBO files which are the native file type for the game Arma 2.

so the files should be clean right?

and also i used winrar to extract the files cause the download is rar file first.

    is winrar safe and legit?

WinRAR is very safe and trusted. Look, I'll tell you that here in these forums, you'll get a lot of "just because it says it is clean, doesn't mean it is". That may be true for one scanner, but when two or more GOOD scanners say clean, to me that's enough. Good lord, you can only check a file so much. I consider Hitman Pro good enough to tell me, to be honest. I run my files through Hitman, Avast, and MalwareBytes. If they give an all clear, I'm done messing with it and moving on.
