AFAIK you cannot save outside Sandbox in CIS.

They skipped another RC and rushed for final (as usual). Hope all go well, for me latest RC is fine at work on XP x32 and at home on Seven x64.
It looks like my OA free x64 has a short life (but I like it a lot). :D

Rush or not the lastest RC is stable and not many bugs have been reported this time. Lets see what happens.

It was the way SB worked in v4, asked, one user suggested such a workaround
Asked again on beta forum, no reply...

01 09 - wow, very fast, we'll se if too soon. Anyways, it appears to be a common pattern - with the new release line there's always need for a quick update, e.g. Returnil 2011 [updated after a couple of days] Online Armor [updated after 3 days?] so it seems to be rule of thumb to wait for the NEXT update, CIS 5.01.

  5. Hey Guys

Final version will be out this week. Aiming for September 1st. Moderators have had 3 final versions in the past 48 hours, in the process of sending crash and dumps , includes fixing them.

It works well so far. I have it paired w/ zemena and WTF2. The only thing that is odd is that it doesn't recognize zemena or WTF as trusted. I did submit them to be checked. I'm hoping that CIS will keep me safe. I feel naked w/o my OA, MBAM and sandboxie.

That is not good, why not spend another couple of weeks debugging and then putting out the solid, stable, debugged version?

  10. You can wait 4 months and bugs will still be found mate. I can guarantee that after the final there will be new bugs. Don't worry, this is going to one of the most stable and robust CIS releases yet. Wait and see.

Now the sandbox is much more easy to use, it's better integrated with D+ and also works better, I mean before some programs didnt run correctly because of the limitations imposed by the sandbox, now all this problems has gone.

Also they have fixed the flaws that have appeared since the last stable version was release, like the script protection and some other things.

Old RC links were deleted but there are new ones:

~~Comodo staff reported these links as problematic and asked us to remove them. See Comodo staff members for more information~~

    This version is 5.0.29916.1107

The next time we will have to post the final version of CIS in other anti-virus software section, since CIS is not in the same league that the applications posted in other anti-malware software :D

Seems that tomorrow there will be a new release

The last couple versions I've noticed that auto-sandboxing doesn't pop up an alert (I have the setting checked) and file and registry actions aren't virtualized (they are with manually sandboxed apps).

There is an option to dont show the popup when an app is going inside the sandbox maybe you checked it.

I had tested a few MDL links on CIS v5 beta and it didn't catch any of them. I know that this isn't a proper way to test something but it made me kinda wary. Two of them were exe files and sandbox didn't even partial limit them. The AV or defense + didn't make a peep. THey only thing that came up was D+ was asking if exe.exe could access the internet. I was expecting a little better than that. Another exe was allowed to run and it was active in the process manager. I know that your supposed to layer but I was disappointed. I had it on proactive dense at the time. Anyone else have any issues with missing trojans and malware?

What else do you want if after you restart the computer is clean?
You tried to infect the computer with 0day malware and you couldnt.

The cloudBB and the cloudAV are still not 100% working, they will be when the final version will be released.

If you want popups from D+ put it in paranoid mode.

If you found a malware able to bypass the sandbox this should not be happening, please report it to egemen in Comodo forums, they take this kind of issues very seriously

Yes I could infect it with 0day malware. Thats the point. I didn't say that I wanted popups. I want some confirmation as to why does the sandbox partial limit zemena but not some unk exe I find off of MDL. I wasn't looking for a fight or someone to pick my message apart either. I was simply commenting on what I had found and was wondering the same from the forum members. Don't worry I will be posting that over at comodo.

I said I had it checked. I think there might be an issue here with importing old configurations. When I use a fresh configuration it works.

If you are not going to send the malware to egemen that is supposedly able to bypass the sanbox please sent it to me by PM, I would like to confirm this.

Were you using CIS 4.1 or 5?
