Over the last few weeks I've been getting a popup message saying "ESET GUI has encountered a problem and needs to close" when I start the computer. I haven't installed any new programs recently. I'm running Windows XP SP3. Any advice?

Does the problem occur with the latest version of EAV 4.2.64?

My version is 4.0.474.0. I wasn't even aware there was a new version. Doesn't ESET inform customers of these upgrades automatically?

In short, no, you may visit Support News, the download center, or watch the Wilders ESET Forum for announcement stickies, and via the changelogs
