Thanks, Ibrad, good to know that Panda doesn't expect us to give up MBAM. Please post if you hear that they've fixed the conflict.

After playing around with it myself, I am not sure turning it off makes much difference.

Panda also seems to slow down Google Chrome a bit when loading a few tabs (2-3+) at the same time.
If i start scrolling down or up in a tab already loaded while loading a few more it lags :) a LOT! (Edited!)

Maybe, but since I'm not paranoid IMHO I don't need it.
When proper help file gets out, or more info on that feature, I'll see that option again.

Between PEG, WPP, and Comodo D+, aren't you essentially using three HIPs programs at the same time?

    Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit

    Real-Time
    Avast! Free 5.0
    Sandboxie Paid 3.46

    Windows
UAC (User Account Control) > Highest
    LUA (Limited User Account)
DEP (Data Execution Prevention) > All Programs
Still need to enable SEHOP sometime

    Network
    NAT Router (SPI firewall, WPA2)

    On-Demand
    Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Paid 1.46

    Browser
Google Chrome 5.0 (AdThwart & LastPass, forced sandbox, empties on exit)

I was worried Sandboxie wouldn't be able to protect against phishing, so I tried Prevx SafeOnline and Trusteer Rapport. They are not compatible with Sandboxie, so I created a non-sandboxed shortcut for Chrome. SafeOnline didn't get along with Chrome, so I stuck with Trusteer for a while, until I remembered I don't like security that requires a user to make a decision i.e. click on the non-sandboxed Chrome for finances instead of the normal one. Supposedly LastPass cannot be tricked to automatically enter login information into a fake website. So that will have to do.

i had avira before but i dont feel the need for an AV.

do i need a software firewall to replace windows firewall if im already behind a router?

i tried outpost firewall and private firewall before. but i just uninstalled those after a few days.

Thnk I'm headed back to my Avast / Prevx combo except this time I'm trying out Avast Pro. I had set Prevx to only scan once a day and not on boot but it scans anyway. So there's an outside chance it gets the heave ho before long...maybe, I still like it. But it just seems like it is constantly scanning all the time. Maybe Comodo w/D+ or Mamutu is in my future.

Is anyone using Avast Pro with Google Chrome browser? In the past I have had issues with sandbox type programs and Chrome.

Use Panda Cloud Antivirus Free about 15MB or Avast! 5 Antivirus Free(File+Behaviour) +/-10MB

RAM says nothing, idle RAM especially. They are all hiding it in virtual memory and the pagefile. I remember a test which tested idle MEMORY usage (not RAM usage) and the lightest one was ESET NOD32 using around 240MB of memory. Most were over the 300.
