Why do you need to disable it? If you don't receive email at all disabling it won't make any difference. At any rate, you can disable POP3 checking as well as disable integration with email clients in the main setup.

I use another Anti-spam software. I dont mean that ESET`s is bad. I payed for it before i got ESET. Therefore i want to disable Email client protection. When the license is ended i will start using ESETs.

You need to disable the Antispam email client protection, NOT the main email client protection!

Go to the advanced set up tree and select Anti Spam Protection, untick box, then email client protection, untick the 2 main boxes "enable... & start..."

Then its done!....but you will always have a Red "!" on the main protection status screen

If you disable the main protection, then you will run a big risk of getting a virus, why would you put your pc security at risk to a 3rd party ?

I too have my mail "factored" out to an anti spam company (so i have my Anti Spam turned off), who scan for spam and also for viruses before the mail is released to my pop3 mail client, but i can tell you i have still had viruses in some mail, that thankfully ESS has picked it up straight away!
