What are the Best Free Anti-Malware (rootkit, trojans, keyloggers, worms) on demand alternatives to MBAM?
    I gather SuperAntiSpyware is one..

I'm not really comparing products, I'm looking for a suite of good anti-malware on-demand free scanners say for checking infected PCs of friends and family.

TDSSKiller from Kaspersky is worth a run regardless.

you cant really compare product a with product b - each have its own strategy and signatures.
if you need a better result wait 3 days and check again!

Malwarebytes can hold it's own in detections and would have a better "dregs" cleanup routine than all the others put together.

I use more than one that's for sure. Specially when dealing with a very infected system. In my experience no program finds everything, so they complement eachother quite often. These are always on my usb key:

    1. EmsisoftEmergencyKit
    2. SUPERAntiSpyware Portable
    3. HitmanPro35
    4. Cureit
    5. tdsskiller
    6. Norman Malware Cleaner
    7. MSN Virus Remover
    8. IObit Security 360 portable

    Currently I'm using this 4:

Avira free installed without the guard
    Avast installed without all guards
    EmsisoftEmergencyKit
Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 in a cd. Now kaspersky cd create a folder at root (X:\Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10.0) and store the updates/options there.... so next time you update you not need to download ALL the signatures again. Is the only one I tested that do this... and I appreciated a lot. Nice one to have in the pocket.
