    You could also switch to OpenDNS from the DNS of your ISP. It allows you to control and filter the sites allowed by your browser, it involves no downloading of software, and it is free:

    The site that you mention that I already noted is one of the most respected and well maintained Hosts files on the Internet.

    Googling for "Hosts file(s)" is not recommended. :ouch:

    Create a Hosts editor Here, Merging with others is not recommended

    really thanks for all your hints.
    At the moment I opted for the easy one solution (for me of course :D ) OpenDNS familyshield and seems it plays

    No worries, we all miss something sometime - glad you like the MVPS Hosts file, Shameless plug, I install this file on every machine I have the opportunity to work on.

    You are most welcome for the assistance and tips. If OpenDNS works for you without leaving any evident security issues, that works for me.
