Hmmm...But I thought you said that your Brother didn't allow you to install ANY security software at all, after the last fight you two had:rolleyes:

Well that was an interesting experiment but it's back to the configuration in my signature. Prevx and Online Armor Premium work so smoothly together there's no point in shaking things up eh?...

Anybody using Avast AV Pro or Avast IS with SandboxIE ? I am asking this because if you use SandboxIE with Avast 5 (All Shields Enabled), then you sandbox browser won't open, probably there is some problem with Avast Script or Web Shield.. o_O

There are Avast templates in SBIE. Are you using them?

Always worked OK for me although browser load was slow (around 10 seconds) it did work. A month ago or so though some changes to either product might affect this.

Resource access monitor in SBIE might show any conflicts so you can open the right doors in SBIE to resolve it.

    Cheers

Wife's laptop, since it is a default deny (Rmus will be proud :D ), I figured highest risks come from on-line shopping (ISP scans mail), she has not encountered a virus in years, so dropped the realtime AV (MSE) in favour of PrevX SafeOnline free

    Windows7 Ultimate
    - FireWall 2-way (outbound only application filter, no ports & protocols control = agree STEM I am lazy  )
    - LUA + SRP deny execute
    - Hardening through Group Policy (e.g. autorun USB off, only runonce allowed other autorun registry entries blocked for LUA, also autorun directory and creating new tasks)

Iron's with internal sandbox (only with three green marks ones on a row she promised to enter banking/credit card info)
    - McFee SiteAdvisor
    - WOT
    - PrevX Free Facebook (finally found a way to reduce disk I/O *)

    On demand
    - A2 emergency kit

    * Settings PrevX
    - Safe on-line = default
    - Heuristics max, apply after age, age max, popularity off
    - Scanner = MBR scanning off

Three green checkmarks on a row = okay to pay on-line

Also he stopped disabling EAM :D I told him to stop doing that because i always find malware and it seems he's following my advice :D :D

Back to Sandboxie and Avast File Shield and Mamutu and MBAM real-time. MBAM slows the browsing down a bit, but I sure do feel safe.

I have now Windows 7 Home Premium x64 with everything on default, except UAC, which is enabled but can't dim desktop.

Norton Internet Security 2010 came preinstalled, when its trial time expires I will install Microsoft Security Essentials.

There are other HP security tools that came preinstalled, all of them were left on their default settings.

I also installed Secunia PSI, but I don't leave it running.
