THats a great deal. If you add something for 5 dollars you can get free shipping. Thats cheaper than buying a "legit" license off ebay.

Hey thats pretty good too. I know that I would rather pay a smaller price than wait for a rebate. Thats just me though. I have enough going on in my life to try and remember to get a rebate out.

I got it from Fry's the last time it was free with rebate. It did take a couple of months to get the rebate but it did come. Free beats $19.99 as far as I am concerned. :thumb:

If your a college student and have a .edu email address Amazon is/was giving away free Amazon Prime accounts which gets you free 3 day shipping or next day for $4 more. Not sure if Amazon is still doing that or not though.

mine will expire 2months from now.

Is it advisable to buy new KIS instead "renew license" method?

Also anybody knows where I can find good deal for "renew license"?

Deals like these are cheaper than renewals. Buy it while it's on sale and use the new key to activate when your old one expires. Don't enter it before that or you will lose some time.

what's advantages/disadvantages of buying to amazon compare to Kaspersky online?

I heard something like the license both not directly to kaspersky - free upgrade is not available?

It would be the same policy, you are entitled to upgrades and support. On the plus side for Amazon: you get a retail box and a CD :D .
I'd just keep the receipt to be sure, in any case Kaspersky's support asks you (ie: if something happens to your license).

I think only OEM versions are not entitled to a free upgrade of the version, but are entitled to new builds of the same version eg, critical fixes and patches. Not 100% sure though.

Sounds about right. I would stay away from OEM keys anyway. They tend to come from areas of the world you are not in and they are likely to get blacklisted.

It doesn't say but since it is 3 user is is VERY likely not OEM. I see there are a lot of sites with a good price on this right now. Anything under $30 for a 3 user license is good. At least in my opinion.

Prices at V3 Software for Kaspersky aren't too bad either with discounts of 20-25% and it's downloadable.
The deals on AVG are up to 80% off :-http://store.v3.co.uk/?act=search&brand=55-

I bought my Kaspersky product from Amazon and it was a retail box. Even though it was KAV2009, I didn't get around to activating until about a month ago and it worked just fine for both KAV2010 and now KAV2011. I usually stick with the software products on Amazon that say "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com" and have never had an issue... knocks on wood. :)

    Thanks.

We had to put up our Kaspersky prices, at the request of Kaspersky, particularly since the 2011 edition was released.

Same with Webroot, now the 2011 version is available. Those prices are going up this week, too :(

    Chris.
