Ok, so I've been switching computers the last couple of weeks thansk to girlfriend issues and having to use netbooks for a while until I got my old rig back online. So, now when I try to use Prevx (paid) it gives me the message; "Error: (CHK007) No further system changes are allowed on this license". What is that for bu******? I can't even remove my current installation which in case you wonder, is not longer active. I try to remove it but My Prevx won't let me. I have paid for the program and I'm not allowed to use it. For every hour I've spent on Prevx and helping out with glitches, and this is what I get? This is utter garbage. It seems like there's a three time only type of thingy when moving licenses on one computer to another. Guess what? I'm done with **** like that.

Oh, by the way, I have uninstalled Prevx EVERY SINGLE TIME before finally getting to use it on a more permanent computer.

By the way; Error: (CRH006) Cannot reinstate this system on this license as the license is full, you must either upgrade the license or reduce the number of systems in use. (even if i try to delete Prevx when used on older machines and Error: (CRH006) Cannot reinstate this system on this license as the license is full, you must either upgrade the license or reduce the number of systems in use.

I HAVE ALREADY TRIED TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF SYSTEMS IN USE, hence error message number one!

Sorry for being mad, Prevx is top-notch, but this nazi thingy with licenses is ridiculous for us paying customers. I'm going to uninstall the **** until issue is fixed. If followed every single guide there is out there, but there seems to be a maximum of 3 installs per key, wich is outrageous. u

I can't deactivate the active license (as shown in attached pic) without getting in an error message; hence, I can't install it on my new computer. Sad thing to see this sort of nazi licensing.

    Its a known thingy....

Not much to worry about, just email the support with the error msg in the subject line and they'll reset it in a few hours.

    :)

    Hi shadek,

I will tell you the same thing I just told another member! Can you please contact the Prevx support inbox http://info.prevx.com/service.asp with your License code and they will be happy to reset it for you! Prevx has a strict license policy to prevent abuse and I'm not saying that you are abusing it! I can't make anymore changes without contacting Prevx support myself!

    HTH,

    TH

It's a stupid rule. They should contact me as I'm the paying customer. It would suffice by me only being able to use the license at one computer at a time. And if I want to move that license to another computer, I'd just de-activate on old computer and activate on new computer. And so I did! It wouldn't even be possible for me to cheat with licenses.

This whole three-installs-only-and-then-you-must-contact-support is utter garbage. I mean, I've paid money for using the license at a maximum of one computer at a time, and that I did!

I really, really like Prevx but this is just nuts.

As TH said, prevent abuse - eg. computer repair guy buys one licence,, installs/uninstalls it on say 30 systems a month to cleanup.

Companies which don't have specific licence conditions might experience more 'abuse', meaning less overall income for them, and higher licence prices for everyone.

Just out of interest, if it were up to you, would it be unlimited installs/uninstalls, or say 7-10 a year?

It does suck for a legit end user but, response for license resets is pretty. I had this same error tonight. I opened a ticket with support and I got a pretty quick reply even though it was the weekend.

Yeah, same here! Got the issue solved within an hour, even though it was on the weekend! Great support!

But still, I'm mad. I should be able to switch computers at my own house when I get new, more modern rigs without Prevx stops working.

    Suit up Prevx!
