I will be waiting patiently for a pro version update. Does it flash a dialog box or does it all silently? :D o_O

Currently it's all done silently, I do not however know how many or if any updates were pushed to Panda Cloud Pro. Most of the updates only affected the installer so they were not pushed to the PRO yet. A hotfix was pushed that fixed the behavior shield FP's.

I think there should be an option to let users know if there are updates or improvements to the pro version. I'm used to having a small pop-up or an icon flashing to let me know. Maybe the Panda head can change color or smile at us.

Just checked my other box and the update was there. No drum rolls or cymbals banging. Just smooth and quiet...:thumb: :D

Exactly, as mentioned above the fix for the behaviour blocker FPs was pushed out silently to all users.

This minor fix (1.1.2) is for new users who download PCAV for the first time or upgrade manually from 1.0 to 1.1.x, as it includes mostly fixes during installation.

Panda is really nice and light and all, but I don't think I'll be switching back to it until they fix that annoying issue with start menu icons loading really slowly.

Pro user's do not currently need it because it really only affects the installer, if it is running nice and smooth for current versions why push a new version? Hotfixes have already been pushed to pro users though.

AFAIK, this offer is meant to be by invitation for beta testers and early adopters only. Unless you already know the link, you can't navigate to it via the Panda website.

It may be a violation of Wilders TOS to post the link publicly on a forum: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=295147&postcount=1

At least the price for PCA isn't outrageous anymore. Too bad it's bloatware.

What do you consider makes the product 'bloatware'? It's supposed to be trimmed down from their own competing programs and similar AVs; there are no signatures to download as it's in the cloud so less overhead in that regard.

Just interested to see what you think is 'bloat' within PCAV.

@Shadek: Please tell me why you think it's bloated, so far it's the only AV I can get to run without issues on a 256mb machine.

@Progress: I would PM Pbust with that and he should look into it. I have no idea about what country's in this offer. (Yeah I would also remove the secret link because it is a offer for Beta Testers and Early users)

May I remind all Wilders members who find software deals to properly check them, to see if they are applicable to everyone, before posting them:

As a program Panda Cloud is not bloatware compared to the elephant Panda Global Protection or PIS.

But doesn't mean PCA is good enough to protect a computer. A can pick-up a threat that will bypass PCA in less than a minute. It will be hard for me to do this for some other products . Nowadays we need more protection , not less protection . Panda Cloud particularly offers less compared to other Panda products.

In my own opinion , Panda Cloud is just an experiment to make a light product that offers some protection . Have a look at other products of Panda - how many processes and resourses they use? This kind of programming is not good. It seems to me that since 2006 Panda Software(now Security) has made whatever they could to make the program look light (but it isn't light). PCA is just a successful experiment in making a light products . But is it realy light ? Yes, it is . Why ? Because it offers pretty much nothing. I would never pay 20+ euros for nothing . It counts as antivirus , so if I am typical end user and use WF+WU+ PCA , will that be enough (on MS WIndows XP ) ?

Note again this just my opinion . You don't need to agree or disaree with it.

It's only bloatware when the scan is running :doubt:

Panda Cloud Antivirus is currently on version 1.1 - 1.0 to 1.1 protection increased ton's. If it did that much in one update wait for some of the next major updates. I have a feeling some great features to add protection are on the way to Panda Cloud Antivirus :D

If I remember correctly they were looking into fixing that. I thought they fixed it but I never run into malware.
