Part of the bar chart is disappeared on that site...I can't read it all. Pop-ups are being rated red by WOT from that site.

what these results do show that unless you live your life ruled by a stop watch the time differences in most tests for most products isn't really worth bothering about

It is full/complete scan and NOT quick scan.
The reason why it takes longer is because I have included third party files and not just a clean Windows system. Like I mentioned on the article below:
    http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/2010/06/30/all-antivirus-slows-windows-down/

"Full scan time is accurate but incomplete because I only scanned once on a clean Windows operating system. First of all, some antivirus implements caching system which won’t scan the same file twice if the file is not modified. Secondly, some antivirus only implements caching on original Windows files and not on third party files. It is important that I launch the full scan twice and include third party files."

IMO, McAfee's Site Advisor is far more accurate, professional, & less-skewed than WOT.

I'm not saying the scan time is long, to the contrary, I think it's way too short. According to the graphs, most AV's can do a full/complete scan in just a few minutes :S Usually full scans take more like 30-60 minutes or even longer. For example, on my notebook a first quick scan after Avast was just installed took 13 minutes and some seconds. While it is not quite as fast as your test system, it is still quite recent:2GHz dual core(intel t7300) 4 gigs ram and a 7200 rpm hard drive. On your test system a first full scan with Avast took only 5 minutes and 16 seconds and as you explained, that is even with 3rd party files.
