Except Dr.Web and GData all that is left are KINGS of false positives.

    Where is ESET NOD32? :doubt:
And when will Avira come back?

Shame to see ESET leaving the cloud. I guess it will still show up in the results for some days, though. Also it is still being sold on SurfRight shop, I guess that will last till they are don't have ESET licenses left anymore.

For me personally it doesn't matter that much since I use ESET as realtime antivirus.

Most important question to the Loman brothers, who decided to stop with the partnership?
    - If it is ESET, it might show something about the direction they are going with their products (version 5 which I am desperately waiting for); I don't know whether it pleases me or not;
    - If it is SurfRight, why? ESET never gave me any false positive and it is still (although less than a few years ago) a great program.

There was no mention of the removal of ESET and it means we are one scanner short again! Erik should be telling us customers before and not find out this way! :doubt: Also now x64 updated!

Hmm....announced new big-name being added, then reticence about identity, before we learned of DrWeb, but never mentioned departure of ESET. Maybe change only happened very late.

They picked up that behavior from Prevx, that is their speciality :p

    Hi All
Just updated fine both on my Windows 7 x64 and Windows 7 x86 and no false positive to report here.
False positives are nothing odd in my opinion, every antivirus or antimalware might have f.p detections
I also noticed ESET icon is missing, I hope it has been only a human mistake but let's wait for erikloman's reply:)

    Cheers:)

Update went in with no problems. I really like HitmanPro and the fact ESET logo seems to be missing is a surprise, however I have ESET Smart Security suite running, so all is well.

Yep I know, that's why I said they catched that behavior from Prevx , ( I saw that "thing" with Prevx first time (detecting it's own files as malware))

Gotcha yes that did happen once! ;) But I'm still upset that they don't notify us of vendor changes before hand as I have 4 licenses and I think we have a right to know!

    Re: Build 106 released

    Thanks for the flawless update.
It matters not to me that ESET is gone.
    Glad to see DrWeb onboard.
As for the people upset about not receiving advanced notification, it's quite conceivable to me that not all business decisions can be run past an internet forum before they are implemented.
If you like the program and believe in the developer, then let them handle their business without peering over their shoulder.
    My 2¢.
    :)

ye i agree its their decision, but i hope mark or erik come here to at least explain the reason for ESET's disappearance, u know, just to keep their users informed with the product were using.

Maybe the loss of two engines is a secret way saying two new engines would be added :D , personally I would want to see Panda and Malwarebytes added. Or possibly Sunbelt :argh:

    Patience is always key, TH.
HMP's announcements never seem to be as quick as you would like them,
but usually follow just a little while after that.
