Caved a little and installed some real-time protection (ThreatFire). It's running nicely, using around 7.5MB of RAM.

LUA with SRP or AppLocker would be the excellent idea.

Amazingly, I have same setup + some more (there are lot's of nasty things out there in intranets AKA series of tubes)
On top of all that I have OA++ (all shields turned on) , A-Squared with ultra-mega paranoid settings (all up and high)
Norton Internet Security 2011 beta along with Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 beta (great combo)
Cpl of keyloggers , EVERY app is running under sandboxie.
Hard drives are crypted with Truecrypt.
    LUA+UAC+SEHOP+DEP
So far is working awesome, altough I'm thinking about adding AVG (just to be sure).
Running several AV's in real-time at the same time and causing problems is myth.

For On-Demand I run everything that exists, scheduled daily.
For browsing I use Firefox which after every session I uninstall and when I need to browse again, I simply run setup again.

Oh yes, I have BSOD's here and there and it takes Control Panel to open 15 minutes, but I'm safe :D

    Updated my setup

Real-Time: Avira AntiVir Personal, CIS (just FW), Malware Defender 2.7.1 (all enabled except network protection), Prevx SafeOnline 3.0 Free, PeerBlock

On-Demand: Hitman Pro 3.5, MBAM Free, Vba32 ARK (both stable and beta)

Using FF ATM, cleaning with CCleaner, checking programs using Secunia PSI, and using OpenDNS. And the setup seems light on Win XP SP3.

Let me know if there's anything missing. Cheers! :thumb:

pabrate, finally, someone who understands what security is all about! Beginning to think I was on a 'tame security' forum. Add AVG for sure.

I think 8GB more ram will make it smoother, less BSODs, and the mouse cursor should move when you want it to, that's the best tip I can give.

Norton Internet Security 2011 beta along with Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 beta (great combo) - Might give it a whirl and get back to you when my system finally reboots. Stay tuned. :thumb: :thumb:

To the mods, my 'joke' will end now! :p To the regulars, think Mamutu, Sandboxie and MSE is one of the lightest combos I've tried. Hitman Pro on-demand I forgot to add in my previous post.

Agree completely, this forum needs a little humor (it's scary how serious it is).

Anyhow, tnx for the tip, I added more memory, AVG and Ad-Aware Internet Security (paid) , now mouse moves in real-time.
I've noticed in the meantime that BSOD occurs only when I make new text document, that's weird.
Definitely try those 2011 IS betas, they just love each other, very shiny in systray with awesome GUI's.
Gotta go now, cause I have trouble typing this post (every keystroke is checked in the cloud (and with local signatures) ) so it took me 45 mins to type it.

Yeah, I'll stop too :D runnin' just CIS4 (FW only) and Avast 5 free , take care ;)
