    Hi,

I'm considering the purchase of the full Prevx suite with also SafeOnline. I'm currently running avast! 5.0 free version and was wondering if I need the avast! web, network or behavior shields running after the full Prevx will be running on my system?

I would advise to run Prevx by itself although you can run both of them. Been an avast user myself.

Download the the free version and give it a try with Avast 5 Free and you can always purchase and install the key at anytime afterwards http://info.prevx.com/downloadcsi.asp

I already have Prevx free version installed and everything looks OK :thumb:
Somehow I feel a bit uncertain about leaving only Prevx full running and thus was planning to use both of them :)

That would be fine as I always say to most people the Layered Approach is best! And also if you are a paid customer of Prevx and if you ever get infected and Prevx is unable to clean the infection one of their Security engineers will clean your machine for free no other AV solution offers this!

I have Avast free AV running together with regged Prevx,Outpost fw,sandboxie. Seems as a very good combo. I made a custom Avast install and avoided net/web shields as it seems to be an overkill.
For best use of safeonline I use it with IE for banking etc with sandboxie configured in accessibility, ticked "jaws and window eyes".
Regular surfing with Opera where opera.exe as only internet access in sandbox.

    Thanks for the feedback.
I decided to go with Prevx, but without safeonline module as it leaves some impact on my browsing performance (judging from the trial version included in the Prevx free).

We may be able to improve the performance of SafeOnline on your PC if you send a scan log by clicking Tools - Save Scan Results to report@prevxresearch.com (otherwise the impact should be quite low, and the impact in the trial version is indeed identical to the paid one).

The team behind prevx is indeed an extraordianary one. Your customer approach is impressive. I love this app.

Prevx is such a cool product! :argh: I've used it on my 3 computers along with many other security apps such as Avira, VIPRE, KeyScrambler, Ad Muncher, SUPERAntiSpyware, Emsisoft Anti-Malware, SpywareBlaster, and some others I can't remember now and I've never had any problems, conflicts or slowdowns! :D  But I've never used it with avast...

I bought 3 licenses with SafeOnline too and I'm very happy with the purchase.

I'd also recommend a layered approach over running it alone (although I'm pretty sure that with a little bit of common sense it could be run as the only security solution).

I also appreciate the way Prevx manages the licenses through their My Prevx website. You can select which computers you want to activate or deactivate in a couple of clicks! Way better than those products where you must activate online and can be deactivated by the company just because you are a reinstaller freak! :argh: It's very unpleasant to see that you've reached the limit of activations even though you've only activated the product in the same computer again and again. Fortunately, this problem is solved by the fantastic management offered by Prevx! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Thank you for the kind words :) If you do reach the upper limit of reactivations (MyPrevx has a limitation if you make a large number of changes), feel free to send me a PM and I'll get it reset for you ASAP :)
