Unix fixes, stabillity, and more: Approaching 10.60 Final
    -----------------------------------------------------
There are a few more bug fixes for you to test during the weekend. Unix in particular has a decently size batch of new fixes in this build, but you will see that there are also cross-platform fixes. This includes work on Offline Applications, Geolocation, Widgets, and more.

Although not quite there yet, soon it will be starting to close in on the final release of Opera 10.60 across all platforms, including Linux and FreeBSD.

Given their speed, it's no wonder that they are the fastest. :p

The latest build 3442 is working well and fast but it does have some bugs which will be fixed in future builds.

We may see a Opera 10.60 final release soon which will benefit many Opera users who only update on final releases.;)

    http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/show.dml/ *puppy*

This is Opera 10.60 Release Candidate 3.

Unless any major new issues are found, this will most likely be released as Opera 10.60 Final on Windows, Mac, Linux and FreeBSD. This will be the final testing before release.

Fingers crossed, this latest version of the fastest browser on earth will soon be available to everyone else!:p

Awesome! I will be downloading it in a little bit. You really have to love how fast Opera cranks out browser updates.

Coincidentially, I just downloaded from Opera adblocker, urlfilter.ini, Fanboy webby and yes, left click will open the file (which you can save by using file save) and right click will give you the direct option of saving the .ini file through "Save Linked Content As".

Seems like disabling speed dial search is gone now? Added the line Speed Dial Search Type= to operaprefs.ini but Bing search is still there. Anyone know how to disable it? Thanks.

Click the search bar icon -> "Manage search engines" -> double-click on Bing, click "Details" -> untick "Use as Speed Dial search engine"

Those who already have RC3 don't have to download the final release since it is the same package. It seems that no major issues have been found in RC3. At least not within the last 24 hours.

I wasn't even aware that Opera joined up with AVG to implement better malicious site blocking in 10.60. I wonder how much this will improve there detection of malicious websites since Opera's protection wasn't that great before.

That was definitely one of Opera's weak points. I always remember seeing malware prevention tests with browsers and Opera was always dead last, which was pretty disappointing.
