I'd say that CIS needs time to 'bed in' to your system. At first there's a slight laggy feel as it gets to know your particular configuration, but after a short time it becomes less and less noticeable that it's even there.

That's because you are way too paranoid :D
There is no need for heuristics to be set on high, I'm with default (Low) and NEVER had AV showing me install files as malware.
Besides, you are running MBAM and Prevx in real-time as well , that is .... I don't know, can't find a right word :p

Paranoid? Are you crazy! I'm not paranoid....hold on I think my mouse pad is planning my demise. No really. I lowered my heuristics to medium. I was under the thinking that if low is good then high is great. Bad idea. I have MBAM becuase it does a great job catching trojans and fake av. Safeonline is for keyloggers, phishing and browser security. It might be a little overkill but its working well at the moment.

Yeah, sorry for that (paranoid) , I was joking anyway.
It's a good setup altough in my opinion CIS is good enough alone.

As for Comodo heuristics I turned it off completely, because everything that was cought by it (labeled Heur.) was FP.

I know one thing, I used Comodo IS-v3 for a very long time and never had a problem that it did not catch. I would have graded it 100% and as good or better than any other AV + Firewall on the net. Comodo is a very secure program.

I then updated it to Comodo IS-v4 and the Firewall failed. This happened every time in 5 installations. So CIS-v4 was dumped. I did contact the Comodo help team and they said they would look into it - I sent some data, but they simply went down a black hole.

I now use AVG9 plus Comodo Firewall Pro with Defense +. That works perfect. SpywareBlaster is also sitting back there acting as catcher.

Whilst I would like to use CIS-v4, there is no way I am going to try it again, no need to, my combination is great. My system is clean. Combined with Sandboxie, I see no reason to waste time assessing the best AV, any reputable AV is good enough when using SBie.

Yeah I know you were joking. Somtimes my sarcasm doesn't travel well via IM or blog posting. I tend to lean towards layered overkill and not relying on one application to protect me. I know that CIS has alot of layers but I still like to have a second opinion.

Ok i hope no one objects if i ask this here but since it does concern CAV i thought it was better to ask here then to make another thread for a question about CAV. :)

Ok i have been using Comodo Firewal with D+ and Sandbox, and i really like it so far. As a AV i am using Avast 5 free but i would like to try out the AV from Comodo for a while now. My question is this...can i just download CAV an install it, and will it be intergrated in the Comodo Firewal with D+ and Sandbox? Or do i have to uninstall Comodo Firewal with D+ and Sandbox and then afterwards install The entire CIS package?

I did this. All I had to do was click on Start>Comodo>Comodo Internet Security>Add and Remove Components. From there I was able to add the antivirus.

I hope this works for you.

I do not know how strong comodo av in comparing with kav, reading here that comodo is better, a test for comparison with kav if someone knows or personal experiences would pray about these two av .. would help me a lot because I am in a dilemma who better.

We don't do comparing AVs here, it inevitably results in pointless threads. Try both (one at a time), Comodo is free while Kaspersky has a trial. You decide what suits you best.

I know that there is no comparison for KIS or CIS, but I'm not some expert and some experience of the testers of wilderssecurity forum could help me a lot about my choice between the KIS or CIS.Thank you responded to my question.

Well IMO if we take only the AV part, KIS would have a higher detection than CAV, but if we take the whole suite I think that CIS will protect you better than KIS.
Anyway all this will change with the new Comodo 5. https://forums.comodo.com/news-announcements-feedback-cis/cis-2011-cis-50-sneak-peek-t58989.0.html

I used Comodo for years until their CIS v4, which failed 4 times to function due to the Firewall seizing up. I uninstalled it and will now wait until Comodo come up with a system that downloads and WORKS !
Their sandbox ? I don`t want it, my Sandboxie is quite adequate without having some second rate look-a-like crapping up my system.

I still use Comodo Firewall Pro. The best Firewall on the market. In fact Comodo products are better than anything else on the market. I just wish they would get their act together and ensure the product works OK before they release it.

Using Windows 2002 XP Home with SP3 and proud of it - see no reason at all to change. Ya can`t beat a Golden Oldie.
