I would like to thank you on behalf of Malware Research Group for assisting us on this issue. We will know shortly if the test has been compromised as we are just starting the fourth day of testing.

    Regards,
    Sveta

    @Sveta MRG

Thanks for understanding and appreciating my true motives :thumb: I hope they will enable your tests to have even more credibility from now on :)

It'll be interesting to see if any of the vendors detects etc so far, will now result in fails ? If so we might know why, some all did :D

    Regards

Well it would certainly be nice for this project to finish as planned. We are learning from all mistakes made and in future tests will try to eliminate them on time. As they say "Nobody's Perfect" ;)

    Sveta

I'd hate to think that any of the vendors taking part would stoop to those depths in order to 'pass'.Perhaps I'm naive but I like to think there is some integrity left in the world.

It'll be interesting to see the next result or 2 though.:doubt:

Perhaps before your next test you might like to bounce a few ideas round the forum for some feedback?

If the average user wants to become ABOVE-average, and is willing to do a bit of research whenever he encounters an alert that he doesn't understand, then a HIPS can be an excellent learning tool.

I agree 99.99999%. Even so, I am very grateful to MRG for these well-conceived tests.

This is a very good idea, users can get involved in testing like they do in program evaluation ect. At the end of the day, we are all on the same team;)

Nice changes in the report but still not perfect :D

Why SS is still being tested? I thought that it was going to be removed.
Why the test lasts 30 days? Can't you do everything in 4 or 5 days?

I like the new scoring system. Its also good to see the test improve as it progresses. Impressive results from Prevx, Bluepoint, and interestingly enough VIPRE too.

Oh dear, just when MRG started to look more credible, they blew themselves up again with their childish fight with Comodo.

My sympathies, MRG, the person in question is an irritating attention-seeker, trying to hijack threads all over Wilders with his aggressively confused arguments. I wish the moderaters could do something about it, though they did delete his insulting attempts here to restart the Comodo controversy with you. But your response on YouTube should be taken down, it looks unprofessional. No reason to get in the muck with the guy, in fact it looks like what he is here for, getting the reward of negative attention.

This is not a demostration of nothing the settings of the Firewall are not shown in the test, I wonder why.
What happens if you run the tool out of the sandbox...
It's also bypassed with the proactive settings? (can be chosen during the installation)
Also with the new versions of comodo a sandboxed programm does not have default access to internet.

I find their 'attack' on guest in that video on youtube pathetic...

And making that you can't react in that video is a big shame. MRG looses all their credibility, if they had any.

I really does not matter the "personal attack" in the video for me is something irrelevant, but test an HIPS allowing the promts and make the test comparing apples and oranges does not seems to be very fair, they are following the steps of matousec, useful test but with the wrong methodogy but this is just my opinion.

I know of 2 companies that already have requested to be removed from the tests and both are still on it.

I really dont care if a part of Comodo can be bypass in an artificial test since the security is something more than a software, the security problems are the result of the actions of each user, and the configuration of the software.

I want to apology if my words were rude in any moment but since english is not my first language I usually tend to write in a more direct way.

I saw the video if anything it proves guest right. They are not being fair to comodo product in saying it can't stop their tool. It can stop it the prompt came up to block it but they chose to allow. They are testing if it can automatically stop it which is not possible as comodo does not yet have a behavior blocker which is something they will add later. Only then can they test if it automatically stops it.

And making fun of guest in the video by mocking him of being a security expert shows how unprofessional they are.

See there no "attack" on anybody here, guest was making posts like he knew how the tool works, we have shown that that is not the case.

As far as I understood SS dont want to be tested and I asked about the results to keyscrambler and thay told me that they have requested to be removed. Maybe they have not sent the email yet.

Thanks for the intention but you are not showing nothing about your tool, at least nothing profesional, you have spend the half of the video and your time talking about me.
I still wonder why you didnt block a red alert from D+ if you were using an untrusted application.

    Please answer to this: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1701881&postcount=166

Instead of avoid it, I second time that I ask you about this, 1 by PM.

MRG disabled the comments on the video. What a bunch of cowards. Very unprofessional to bash a forum poster and then delete the comments when they don't like the way feedback is going. :thumbd: :thumbd: :thumbd: :thumbd:
