Ok, thanks for confirming this. "Breaking" of the execution on connecting is of course logical, that's the whole goal of USB vaccine. Just wanted to make sure that the devices itself could still boot and function normally, and I'm now sure of it :)

    Hi there.

I'd like to ask to any of the Panda Security staff members reading this forum how many personal computers can 1 license be installed in. I'm asking this because I have 1 desktop, 1 notebook and 1 netbook and I don't see any kind of discounts for multiple licenses at the Panda Store.

    29,95 € * 3 = 89,85 € for just 1 year, 197,85 € for 3 years!

Quite expensive given that I'm a home user and the only one using those computers.

Thanks for your time and congrats on such a successful product! :thumb:

I am somewhat confused. I am running both Immunet and Panda Cloud. Imuunet today made a detection in Windows Directory. I checked that file in VT and found that Panda also found that suspicious.
But in my PC it wasn't detecting it. Both on real time and on demand scan.
I copied that file to desktop, scanned with Panda and then it detected that.
I made no exclusion for that detection...o_O

I agree, Panda quarantined a file and I got the alert 15 seconds later  I want to get the alert immediately, please change it Panda :doubt:

    Hello all!

I have read almost all thread through now. It looks there are STILL some critical bugs left?! Quarantine/Recycle Bin issue, FP's and detection issue (some major misses)?

I would like to have decent protection for my NETBOOK. I am using free Avast at the moment. Should I try PCAV? I have Intel Atom N270 and 2 GIGs RAM. Thank you. :)

I'd like to ask another question: is there a way to unauthorize a licensed computer to transfer its licensed to a new one?

    Thanks again! :argh:

Currently 1 license = 1 PC. We will be implementing some type of multi-license discount shortly.

Could be other technologies in the endpoint not included in the VT command-line scanner (white-listing, exclusions, etc.). We will investigate it and I will let you know. If you can please PM me your log. Also if you can replicated it, do so but activate the advanced logging (in the advanced config), replicate, and then send me the advanced log.

Yes this is going to be fixed in the next hotfix.

We will create a method. In the meantime just PM me or post it in the Panda Cloud AV forums and we will unlock it for you.

Kewl pbust, thanks a lot for your fast answers!

I'll keep an eye on the multi-licensing and will of course PM you if I need to unauthorize a PC.

    Thanks again for helping! :D

I gotta say that so far I am pretty disappointed the PCAV pro. I installed it on my laptop and it continued to crash. I uninstalled it and went back to GData. I tried to reinstall it on a desktop and it loaded fine but now I can't use the pro version because I activated it on my laptop. I feel totally cheated of my $30. I understand protecting your assets but shouldn't I be able to transfer it from one computer to another? The GUI is simple, shouldn't the process to use a paid version be simple also. I tried to use their support forum and that is difficult in itself to use and doesn't make much sense. I wish that I could deactivate one computer and activate another, much like Prevx uses. I can also do it myself by logging into MyPrevx. I am frustrated and ready to give up and mad that I wasted $30.

As long as the the AV bundled with Comodo isn't installed you'll be fine. :)

Just popped in on my daughters computer. Panda and Comodo firewall with sandbox enabled run light as a feather. I am very pleased with the combo.

    Cheers

I have sent you a PM with my activation code. I must confess that I did not read any prior posts before I made mine. Thank you for the excellent customer service.

Good Evening ! Currently using Panda Cloud Free...was entertaining an upgrade to Pro Version...but at $47.95 Cdn...thanks but no thanks...if Panda can do something about the price point I'll reconsider...but I have Prevx 3.0 with Safe On Line and the Behavior part of Panda is accounted for...and I don't mind initiating my own updates...and have no use for the u.s.b. protection. So for now the Free alternative is all I really need. Sincerely...Securon

Thanks pbust. But for some reason I had to restore my system image, so all logs were deleted.

I agree $30 USD is pretty steep for one computer.

Direct from the mfg's website pricing:

Norton AV 2010 1 year protection for 1 PC $39.99
McAfee AntiVirus Plus 2010 Protects 1 PC for 1 year $39.99
    NOD32 v4 1 PC for 1 year $39.99
    AVG Anti-Virus, 1 computer, 1 year $34.95
    Avira AntiVir Premium - 1 Year $26.95

While Panda Cloud's pricing is not a hot deal I would be hard pressed to consider it steep. It's entirely possible the Pbust will come up with a special deal for Wilder's members. :D

Anyone that can do a search on the internet can find Norton, McAfee, AVG, NOD32 cheaper that was it listed on their mfgs website. It's not hard. (Ebay, buy.com, newegg, amazon, tigerdirect, etc..)

Good Afternoon ! As stated Panda Pro at $29.95 U.S. Dollars to Cdn is $30.59...29.95 Euro to Cdn is $37.87...so as you can see a major difference. Unless I received N.American pricing it's a doubtful purchase. And as Clocks observed you can shop various vendors...but I'm not sure if Panda Cloud Pro is discounted...so Panda's Mktg Dept. has to sharpen their competitive pencils. Sincerely...Securon

I think the only way to buy Panda Cloud is through their website, so you are locked into their pricing. I agree that it is too expense considering some alternatives. I regularly buy Norton licenses for around $10.
