I just installed mbam then removed it the way the site said to. I scanned the pc in the start menu and there is a driver that says it was created today in one part of the details but another says april 29th 2010. its in my system32 file and im not sure if its safe to remove it.Any suggestions?

After installing it I ran a test and it froze up so i uninstalled it by way of a moderator at the website of mbam. it said to unistall from the control panel and then use a tool to remove mbam.exe I believe it was. well I ran a search in all my files for leftovers and found one in c:windows/system 32/drivers called mbam.sys that says it was created today, modified on april 29 2010 and accessed today. so something isnt matching up and not sure why since i dont recall using it before on this pc and if i had,i have done several clean install to factory settings that i would think it wouldnt be there if i had used it then. but i dont ever remember using it on here. just got the pc in march

If mbam.sys is on your computer but you have uninstalled MBAM + rebooted the computer , then this file is no longer needed so you can delete it - manually.

The date created is when it was 'created' on your PC (i.e. when you downloaded mbam and installed it).
The date modified is the date when the file was last modified (by the developers).
