I have a very frustrating problem with my blackberry users which I've tracked back to NOD Business 4.2.40

My users have blackberries (I know!!), which have poor support for Exchange 2010. They receive emails on blackberry from exchange, via BiS just fine.

When users open their outlook the messages then get delivered again to the blackberry. So all emails are duped and driving users mad.

After much research it appears that Blackberry detects new mails by the message UID. When outlook opens with NOD running the UID is getting changed (as part of the scan processo_O) and the blackberry then thinks it's a new message and downloads it again.

I've tried Blackberry connecting via IMAP and POP to Exchange, always the same, until you disable NOD, then it works fine.

Obviously not having any email AV is a bad situation and I really need some help on this please. I like NOD and don't want to be forced to switch because of something this lame

    thanks :)

What version of Outlook is being used?

You can also disable "Outlook Integration" in NOD32 which should solve the problem. E-mail won't be scanned directly in Outlook however, but if a user were to attempt to open an attachment or save an attachment the real-time scanner would scan the files.

You can change the Outlook Integration setting in the Advanced Setup menu:

Miscellaneous > Email client integration > Integrate into Microsoft Outlook

It's Outlook 2007. I'll fully disable the Outlook integration tomorrow, spent far too many hours already today troubleshooting this issue :thumbd:

I've configured V4 clients to use the server settings from
What are the recommended settings for ESET NOD32 Antivirus installed on a server? (4.x) , because we have other measures in place and I favor disabling these components to prevent any issues that might be caused by them. Following these recommendations should take care of disabling the e-mail component. I also disabled Outlook integration, to make sure there are no leftovers.

If you're using BlackBerry Enterprise Server running NOD32 you should also exclude a folder. This is documented on the RIM support site.
