    newest windows build crashes in exit for me and the opera.exe does not shut down properly. details sent to opera ive went back to previous build which works perfectly for now.

    Installed here as a separate install as I've always did, keeping my previous versions.

    Opera 10.60 Alpha Build 3413 is working well here. No crashes, exit normally, etc and all is great and blazingly fast here ! :D

    The Linux version is flying here as usual with no crashes and has passed all Java tests as well.

    Same here - happened to me 3 times in a row, in fact. I can't reproduce it reliably, though.

    The new tab style is nice. Seems to have been subtly changed in the past few builds, though I've just noticed them now.

    Make sure you don't have any tab with Flash open when exiting. In case you have, it's a known bug.

    I can confirm this known bug which is unknown to me before you said it.:thumb:

    (PS. Just checked the Opera forum and it was mentioned there that it is a known bug that this Opera alpha build will generate a crash report when closing any webpage that has Flash and this should be fixed in the next build.)

    Be sure to differentiate between Opera crashes and crash report generation.:cool:

    This latest build 3413 has a known bug of crash report generation when closing a webpage with flash.
    This is not the same as Opera crashing in the middle of your browsing experience.;)

    Such is to be expected when testing any Alpha or Beta builds which we have been warned prior to downloading.:p

    I am sticking to this lastest build 3413 until the next build is released which I do expect this particular bug to be fixed.:cool:

    The web is moving quickly these days, and Opera would like to stay at the forefront of open web standards. In this build they have added four features related to HTML5 and other open standards, and an update for a previous implementation :

    - WebM support for HTML5 video (demo)
    - HTML5 Offline Web Applications (demo)
    - Geolocation (demo)
    -Web Workers (demo - might be a slight delay before it starts working)
    - Major update for Cross-Document Messaging (demo)

    Also added sets of specific fonts to be used for CJK web sites, which should improve readability.

    How? Youtube only seems to sporadically choose HTML5 for it's videos even if you've "joined" it.

    Yes thats still a good start and surprisingly for me, I find many of the stuff I watch in HTML5.

    I meant it as a bad thing. Even after joining the HTML5 beta it still tries to feed me a lot of videos in flash instead, meaning I can't quite remove it yet :oops:

    Exact same problem here since the first 10.60 build. Strange that it's only the two of us seeing this problem.

    this new beta rocks. its for some reason much faster for me than the previous alphas. so far so good. a few minor things but this last version simply rocks.

    Peacekeeper has plenty of benchmarks with Chrome versus Opera.

    This speed test had been discussed many times in my Opera threads here and is meaningless; one esteemed member called it "squat".;)

    If you want to try Opera, just go ahead. :p

    Else, just stick with your own browser of choice. IE, FF, Chrome, K-Meleon and Safari, etc. are all great browsers and I deeply respect them.:cool:
