I've been unable to reach Net-Integration or TomCoyote Forums for the past hour or so. : http://forums.net-integration.net/ http://forums.tomcoyote.com/index.php? Has anyone heard as to a possible DDoS in prgress or am I just being paranoid again
Yes we do and this is getting to be a pain in the ass. Working on getting it back up in fairly short order. And if necessary a back up contingency will be implemented. Either way it won't be down much longer.
Eagle 1 Like BigC said....you guys are sure getting it......you been under attack to the point where enough is enough!! Although I don't use those websites...you personally have always been an up-standing person for as long as I have known.....but right about now you must be very fed up...... good luck...... The SnowGuy
Don't know how wide spread it is but Ad-Aware's Lavasoft Forum might be included this time. Just a hunch, since I can't get there either http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?act=idx Many secuity sites now seem to be subject to this targeting. Who's next ?? Is any one safe ?
GRUM Lavasoft is up....just checked the link you posted. But you certainly make a valid point that needs considering. No doubt most security sites have given much thought to this issue. An home users are not immune either...as we well know. This has always been a one-sided issue stacked in favor of the bad guys. Its a difficult situation definitely.....morals vs lack of morals.....its never really a computer issue imo.....its kinda like.."if you lay down with the dogs..you will come up with fleas"
Sorry about how long it took to get it running correctly. Affected the whole damn network again. This is such a friggin pain in the ass. What pisses me off more than anything is the damn authorities are worthless. "Nothing we can do". I guess if I were a 15 yr old drawing a picture of President Bush as the devil heaving missles I might be worthy of some attention...but not for attacks against my website....oh no that doesn't reach the level necessary to trigger law enforcement assistance...no crime here. ARGHHH!
Home user are not immune. They are participants. They are the ones being used because most don't pay attention to security and don't care because of the "no hacker wants anything I have" or "I have nothing to hide" attitude. They don't understand they are helping to facilitate these attacks by ignoring their PC security. And quite frankly I'm getting tired of this selfish attitude... but anyway.... we should be really ok this time.
By Eagle 1: "They don't understand they are helping to facilitate these attacks by ignoring their PC security. And quite frankly I'm getting tired of this selfish attitude..." At this late date its impossible for anyone to offer up the excuse "oh, but I don't know about viruses..trojans.." HOW COULD THEY NOT KNOW! Its in newspapers..on tv...they know...an just don't care! I have great respect for people who come to forums like this one in an effort to help themselfs........unfortunately, not enough do...... The number of attacks speak for themselfs....saying that a very large number of people have DELIBERATELY ignorred this issue. They place the burden on the other guy and could care less the damage their infected computers cause to others.
From a post at TomCoyote Forun by AplusWebMaster regarding another attact at ComputerCops Forum : FYI...!!! - http://www.computercops.us/forums/ (Intermittent message) "We are experiencing severe DDoS attacks.
