I've been in a plane but just landed. Wow lots of feedback on pricing and multiple computer options. We just wanted to keep it simple (1 license 1 PC) but the feedback is overwhelming.... will look at this next week with the team.

    Thanks for all suggestions!

Anyway to set the default action for the on-access scanner to prompt when it detect a virus instead of moving the file to recycle bin immediately??

Haha here's another blog post from Panda about PCAV.
    Oops!...We Did it Again!

First there's a comparsion between different test results from last year and this year, made by different organizations.

But if one scrolls down a bit you can see that a Magazine called (c't Mag)
Have published a AV test made by av-test.org for c't Mag in May 2010.

Though I have search the c't Mag website to see if I could find the actual test but without any luck, and unfortuntely the c't site is in German wich doesn't make it easier to find.

But as I said the results from c't Mag test is in the oops...blog post;)

Loving it so far...I even bought the Pro version!!!

It's very transparent...like I don't even have an AV running.

Guys , you really need to test Panda Cloud Av pro against some real malware. Congratulations to Panda Security for the new product but this thread is full with post like "Great! Bravo! I love it" but nobody mentions any serious technical aspect of the product and the most important - how it detects / handles malware in different situations.

    Yes very nice.

Btw, every time I am playing a song in WMP, Panda shows 1 dangerous operation blocked rule 5007. Is this a real bug?

You can take a look at this: -http://173.14.219.57:9000/SeventyThreatLiveVideoChallenge/pages/default.aspx-
I don't really trust it myself, but it seems at least somewhat valid.

Very good, and valid point. But I think that will become apparent, soon.;)

Here some experiences from a user (VasileG):

Like the PCMAG review says, it has a very good detection rate for actual malware. The trouble is that it detects a large number of "generic trojan" files, and deletes them WITHOUT WARNING OR UNDO CAPABILITY. There is no option to change this behavior. The files that are merely "suspicious" do get added to Panda's "recycled bin", where undo is possible, but something flagged as "generic trojan" is outright deleted without recourse. Other UI issues: "Scan results" has two separate lists for neutralized (read: deleted files) and merely suspicious files. Switching between these lists loses the current position and selection in the other list. Similarly, when a new item is added to the displayed list, the scroll position jumps to the beginning. Quite annoying if you're following the lists as the scan progresses. Clicking on a virus or malware name in these lists is supposed to take you to a description web page, but that often fails to work as advertised with a non-descriptive error. There's no option to do anything else in these lists, like open an explorer at the file location. Like wrote before, deletion is automatic for "known" threats, even "generic" ones or "packers". The scan results list window is resizable, but the "recycle bin" one is not, and it's tiny by default, making you use lots of horizontal scrolling. On the bright side, it deletes only bothersome files from archives and packs them back. The same goes for email attachments in mbox format.

The price in Canada is $48 which is kind of ridiculous when you consider the Canadian dollar is at US$0.95.

Also, it still conflicts with MSTDefrag and slows down image loading in IE based browsers due to trying to scan the downloaded images at the same time MSTDefrag is analyzing the newly created files. Excluding the browser cache directory works in this version but I'd rather not allow malware to be downloaded into the cache without being scanned.

Is Panda Cloud Pro more expensive than Panda Antivirus 2010?

Panda Cloud Pro is R$89, Panda Antivirus 2010 is R$79... why?

I would like to pay the PRO, but its too expensive! I can buy Prevx 3 for R$ 64...

€ 29.95 = $ 35.95 - which is unacceptable as well  They should reduce their prices soon ...
