Panda Cloud Antivirus Pro

I just saw that Panda's cloudantivirus.com website shows a new babe

But I also saw that they now show a feature list comparing the Free and Pro version of PCAV http://www.cloudantivirus.com/en/download/cloud-antivirus/free

And it seems that the Pro includes Automatic & transparent Upgrades, Automatic USB vaccination as well as an Behavioral Analysis for running processes etc....

Thoughts....

$29 is a good price for the Pro version I think, if one compare to the competitors like PrevX etc...

 

But I doubt if it will be that much effective as Prevx, it has SafeOnline.

Quite Good I would say.

Even if I don't use PCAV yet, I do read the Panda forums.
And people seem to get the help they are looking for.

 

One of Panda's goals was not to make a bad nagging screen that drives you crazy. So if our feedback was put in like that (I am about to go install a Pro copy on two machines) the nag screen should not be that bad.

 

Can anyone post a pic of the nag screen, and tell how often it is shown?

 

We were using the free panda cloud antivirus in our non profit organization. I am working on a script to uninstall it immediately.

The bait/switch is annoying.

Bait and switch of what? Our goal was a free antivirus and that has not changed! We did not remove anything from the free version we added stuff, they have to make money somehow because those servers and staff do not work for free. I see no bait and switch so please tell us why you say its a bait and switch?

It works with others AVS ?

 

Only this one? I mean is it related with offline cache or deactivation of Windows Autorun only?

 

The free cloud antivirus that will be FREE and protect you...oh wait, it has a nag screen and advertising now. That is not free friends.

Also, please spare me your "they have to pay for servers blah blah". If they have to make money--don't market a free product.

You'll find good support there. Ibrad is very helping guy. Even Pedro is also very much helping person.

 

Yep it will work with other AV's ..It was already told to me by Pedro.

And its really good step taken by Panda Labs...

 

Does anybody know if the new PRO version has scheduled scans?

 

Every free AV that is not made my Microsoft has a nag screen. Besides it's not like they took tons of stuff away and force you to get to the pro version for good protection. This is not bait and switch, bait and switch is giving away a free product with everything then taking 99% away to a pro version leaving the free version with 1% of what it use to have,

 

I don't know about scheduled scans but it runs background scans when you are away from your machine.
