ESS does not not minimize after system start anymore

Hi!

Been running ESS for years and eveytime I start my computer the ESS windows is in front. It alwas used to be 100% minimized just sitting in the taskbar.

This is really not a very big issue at all but is there a fix for this behaviour?

Make sure that you have the following in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run:
egui = "C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Smart Security\egui.exe" /hide /waitservice

and that egui is not started from another location (e.g. via the Startup folder).

I just checked and I have the key you talked about. Still my problem exists. I do not have anything in my StartUp folder.

Any other suggestions?

maybe disable/(recheck that it is) splash screen
