I know 1.1 Beta has BB, but i still think that Mamutu is better all around than the BB included in Panda AV Cloud :D

I had deposited much faith on Panda Cloud Beta w/BB and Immunet Protect v2 Beta, but it turned out to be a disappointment. Both are extremely heavy on my system. Maybe when they're final version is out I'll try them again.

    Realtime:

PE Guard v2 Beta (Love it!) - Internet Mode no USB Protection (Windows 7 doesn't run autorun.inf automatically)
Look n' Stop - Application Filtering disabled (Lite)
    AntiARP - Run as Service
Zemana AntiLogger - System Defense and WebcamLogger disabled (no need for that)
    MBRGuard
    Hardware DEP & SEHOP

No realtime AV for now. I'm still waiting for 360 to be released in English. It felt very very light. Although this can be of some help to many, it's still chinese to me. :) I'm still considering Avast 5 Free as a keeper, it's very light but any AV that envolves slow downloads and updates it's on my 'to avoid' list.

    On Demand:

    SandBoxie (For testing purposes)
RootKit UnHooker (Just to say it's there...)

    Removed:

    PeerBlock
-I like that if PeerBlock blocks a site, and if i add the site to exceptions, i can browse the site without having to restart my browser (Opera), but it's way too slow to add exceptions and it's also very slow on boot. I also dislike the popup when it starts.

    Hostsman
-I like Hostsman because it it doesn't show me any annoying popups and isn't as slow as Peerblock on boot but i have to restart my browser everytime it blocks a url i want to browse.

DefenseWall, MalwareDefender, PrivateFirewall or GesWall are not for me. Although i like them all very much and recognize they are great, i can't deal with the huge ammount of popups.

Sorry about the big post.

On XP Pro SP3 playing PC

Running Power User (behind router with inbound FW)

Old Sygate freebie FW (I do not like Kerio splashscreen and L&S BSOD's sometimes on my PC), so left with the only remaing oldie (rising FW is also okay , but can''t find a freebie version anymore)

    Comodo Time Machine

    Policy Management
    - SRP basic user all internet facing aps + office aps
    - SRP basic user Foxit, Winrar, Java, Flash, PDFcreator
    - SRP deny on data partitions
    - SRP deny on temp partition (temp, download, ie_cache, etc) except T:\TEMP

    Access Control List/Drive by protection
    - Registry tweak deny download IE8 deny execute items downloaded with Chromium see https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=262475
    - Changed execute ACL permission of T:\TEMP (set to deny) for users

    IE8 protection
    - Trusteer Rapport protecting IE process (deselected key encryption selected sites)
    - Keyscrambler Free (key encryption for all sites)
    - Pop-up, Smartscreen, privacy and security on normal - high
    - hardening tweaks (Mime enforcing, click jacking, search engine, start page)

    Chromium
    - build in policy sandbox (forced downloads to T:\Download directory)
    - safe-plugins switch
    - incognito
    - Mcfee Site Advisor
    - Adsweep
    - flash block
    - does not accept thrird part cookies (plus google cookies denied)
    - v6 is relly fast (allthough I do not understand chromiums release numbering).

    On demand
    - Hitman Pro (Free), is also AV used when browsing Winrar archives
    - Autruns (with saved base line for ease of checking)[/QUOTE]
    - Threat Killer (to remove autoruns or things found by hitman)

    Note on Power User
When I set the ACL of TEMP to allow I can install software as a Power User (after unblocking download deny, so a double deny execution lock). Power User gives me enough rights (e.g. repair/restart wireless connection) while secpol and gpedit are off limits. With control userpasswords2 and secondary logon the power user is elevated (manually :) to admin and vice versa on rare occasions I need Admin rights (CTM can be launched from LUA and Power User, so backup restore limitation power user is bypassed).

    Regards Kees

With what you have in your signature my vote would be that TM Housecall is not really needed. I would probably use a different scanner like Trend Micro RootkitBuster in addition to what you have.

Dropped Avira and Winpatrol from the slower Desktop.

Dropped Macrium Reflect and added Acronis True Image to Lappy. Also dropped KeyScrambler.

I messed up my MBR also afte uninstall. Paragon backup says it is an invalid partition. Luckily I amde an image backup before installing CMT.

So I re-installed CMT to see whether I did something wrong, nope, same problem. I will go back to the saved image, when I have messed up this lean setup. The point is CMT is working perfectly (after re-install). So I keep on this image for a while.

It is strange: CMT works, but ruines your PC after de-installing. What to think of Comodo.
    a) Good they provide such good freeware, no reason to back ever, so do no complain about it.
    b) Never install Comodo software since their build quility is a disaster and a slap in the face of any PC user.

    You tell me?

    Regards Kees

I can tel you this Kees...THANK YOU for your reply.
One thing is for sure.I was a big fan of CTM,but no,not anymore....i'm using RollBack, paid,it's true, but i can always uninstall it whenever i want, without having ready to use Win 7 recovery DVD,for reinstalling the OS.....(and the funny part is Comodo said that they fixed this mess with MBR long time ago......bleargh!)
    Yes,I know,free....but without quality.....better without!

I used CTM for a short period of time,2 weeks, then uninstalled it. No issues uninstalling it.

Would I try it again? Nope,IMO, the bugs need to be worked out and until they are corrected,I'm not sure why anyone would wanna run such a problematic program when there are many out there that wont cause any issues? Strange indeed.
