These contests don't really impress me. If they really want to impress me they should pubblish OS, what UAC did etc...and forget the easy way...a usb key...

Instead they say us a thing everybody knows. 0-day malware cannot be always stopped.

ps: the pdf link does not work for me.

What are these attacks they are talking about? Malware? won't be the case I guess... 14 samples seem a bit low.

edit: It seems they ignored HIPS warnings. I can understand that, a average user would click accept/allow, but couldn't they atleast show if there was a warning? And what about BB?

Good reading. Not sure what these 'attacks' were though.

So they created/manipulated malware that they *know* will not be detected by those av products and then "tested" that afterwards?

Just looked at the PDF, what a waste of time.

Errr... isn't this kinda exactly how the malware authors work? You know, you don't create malware to be detected by an AV, that'd indeed be a big waste of time.

    :doubt: o_O

Argh, headache :ouch: So let me get this straight, they developed malware which bypasses most of the vendors and then when activated ignore every HIPS warning? Don't spout out BS, Stefan is not biased at all.
